Genuinely think the board don’t have a clue what direction to go in, or who to get. Don’t think it will be Howe, these types of rumours tend to get hyped up and then fizzle out just as fast.

Seriously wouldn’t surprise me if they gave Strachan DOF with Jack Ross as manager and JK assistant and other staff remaining. Strachan seems to be the mouthpiece of the board just now, and I don’t think it is just cause his boys there. If it is that type of set up, Dom McKay would no doubt fancy his chances of selling the ST’s given his PR background etc. It is a hellish situation, and I hope to * Dom McKay proves me wrong.

He remains one of the greatest managers of all time. We would be mad to turn our nose up at him if he were remotely interested in the job.

The suggestion - that is all it is at the moment - is a bit far-fetched, but even a suggestion is welcome at this stage.

There's been rumours for weeks now that Howe is our man and yet the weeks keep rolling by. I've heard just about every reason as to why he still hasn't been announced. Now, with McKay in the building and if the rumours are true I would imagine it would be announced within a week. If it's not announced then its 1 of 2 things for me. 1. Howe was a red herring and it's never been him or 2. he is humming and hawing to the point where I wouldn't want him anyway.

 

100% this - my understanding is that the season ticket renewals go out next Monday 26th (happy to be corrected if that's wrong. If it's correct and there is no announcement by Wed 28th IMO - its not Howe and could be either of the reasons you mentioned.

 

That's not far away and they need to give people a reason to stump up £600 for a stream. This is getting dangerously stupid.
