as bonkers as it is - if we keep ajer he should go into right back or play in front of the back four (the role he was originally bought for).

I was merely stating the fact that we have struggled to find long term options for right back - and most tbf.
one of the biggest and notable reasons between us and the darkside is their stable / permanent full backs who like to burst forward and can cross balls with zip often resulting in goals or great chances - we have missed that since KT days.

our full backs or temp full backs are also small in stature and often get pin pointed with long balls - as a result we also have no one to pick up any breaking balls - it is glaringly obvious and reasons we concede so many goals.

The longer we have no manager the longer it will take to get players in and club & team ready before the CL qualifying starts fs - we will prob do as always and get players lastminute.com or waiting until we have secured Europa qualifying - melt!!

all in all we have went soft - we get bullied, over run and lack presence on the pitch to impose ourselves, we go 1-0 and cave in on ourselves, we miss plenty of chances and we are rudderless.

but hey ho - bring back hendry, ntcham, shved, bayo :-0

    Nah.

The whole point (imo) of McKay coming in earlier than expected was in line with the "stall" on the Howe deal.

Howe has asked for Hughes to be involved, which is more than simply the board getting the DoF in and a manager, that would be planning deeper in to the restructure.

So they have held off on it all, telt Howe we will come back to it when the new guy is in place.

He's only in the door, that negotiation to fit Hughes in to the setup will take longer than McKay just walking in the door on Monday morning.

I expect this to take a few days, if it isn't announced by the weekend though, then I will worry.

the howe thing isnt going to happen they were blowing smoke up our arses as usual

and im not to bothered about it to be honest id rather not go for him now as the slow progress on it has just increased the pressure and pressure likely to fail

theres plenty of good managers out there why we so insistent on this special one who done well with a club with no expectations ? its completely different at celtic the expectations are huge

we need very experienced manager to sort this * out that came about from a ceo undermining a class manager and then appointing a yes man

No. Howe's representatives has said he won't be taking a position until the summer.

Maybe. After the appointment of Lennon and the claim that we didn't even look at any other candidates, I hope we're more prepared this time around.

100% but it's not a binary option between hire now & be unprepared or wait til the summer and be prepared.

Lennon's been gone 2 months now - they also knew he was doing horrifically 3 months prior - we needed a manager in months ago to start assessing our squad for the rebuild. There's no way we can afford to wait til the summer when Howe might decide to take us over, when there's no guarantee he takes it then either.

This rebuild is huge. If he's not 100% convinced that he's the man to do it or holding out for something better, then I don't want him near it. We need something urgently - particularly when they're soon about to ask 53,000 *-off fans to dip into their pockets again to fund this rebuild.

Its criminal how little forward planning theres been.

The right back area is perfect example.

As it stands this could be our team in the qualifers

    .....................bain.....................
    Ralston..welsh..hendry..taylor
    .............ntcham...soro.............
    ..forrest...turnbull...mcgregor..
    ......................ajeti.....................

Its clear the new guy needs to bring defensive reinforements and fast

Ajer plays well at right back, I agree with you in that.

but the very last part of your post, I would rather * with razor blades than have them back. They all need to be moved on come the summer.

I don't think Howe is the man for celtic he was with Bournmouth for five years and spent 151million pounds
[Liverpool spent less ] and he still got the team relegated so what chance has he with celtic we spent 63 mill
but sold players on witch cut our outlay to about 37 mill , AND HE COULD GO TO ELSWHERE. BUG OFF HOWE

The board could give a statement saying we have our man and a announcement will come soon .
It's just a cluster * from the board and fear they have put their eggs in one basket on Howe and as each day goes by without a answer I fear the board will panic and end up with Keane or jack of Hibs .
The silence is deafening from the board and it's a * joke now .
