I want the authorities to hammer the clubs involved.

I am in favour cross-border leagues, but I abhor these rapacious owners who have no concern for the spirit or traditions of our game, or the communities that football clubs are supposed to represent.

These vampires have drained the lifeblood from our communities, and now they are coming for their beating hearts.

Football is all that some of us have. We need to make a stand here. Enough is enough.

Read this. Even if we qualified and won it, we’d get less than half the money that a founding club would get just for participation. There’s no sporting merit in this, it’s a Franchise League set up by financial institutions to create dividends for investors.

    No, absolutely no chance.

Only way we ever get involved is if it is expanded, but we would be turning our backs on football for cash.

It’s actually disgusting what they’ve done today.

    Couldn’t agree more.

Football is very easily fixed, you simply divide TV money equally among all clubs.

I would kick these clubs out of all competition and all remaining clubs vow to split money evenly from now on. When the secessionist come back in they either agree or they don’t get in.

So a founding club is guaranteed £350m and if like they say a Everton or Leicester won it they would receive less than half. Which is still a lot of money. Might have missed it but what do you get for just participating in the group stage if you aren’t a founding member?

I wonder if UEFA will still seek to appease them with the planned Champions League reforms.

I have no sympathy for anyone involved in this mess. It’s the same clubs that have monopolised CL football for the last 15 years and through that monopoly allowed clubs in their given leagues a very long coattail to hang from and they don’t even need to play European football to benefit. In turn it creates groups of supporters who believe their league is the Elite version of football and anyone who supports football from a less wealthy league are looked down on and mocked. Now they have their beds they can lie in them.

    I really hope not.

I hate English football and everything it represents.

Though I've no doubt Desmond is already on the phone whoring us out to desperate EPL chairmen.

This has the potential to cause absolute carnage.

Really hope it goes ahead. The ramifications are massive.

Let's face it, we need something to shake up European football.

A pittance in comparison, as winning the whole thing sees you get less than half that, so not winning it leaves you even worse off. Let’s be frank too, the clubs with the biggest resources will win it.

I'm in the same mindset lol, it's absolutely terrible for football but I kinda want to see what happens if it goes ahead.

Yeah for sure one of them will win it. But I wonder if just being in the groups would bring in more than being in the CL groups which is supposedly worth around £30m for us. Like how would they decide who’s in the super league qualifiers and the CL qualifiers? So many grey areas atm the next few weeks should be interesting.

Find it mental * want this to happen.

Football will basically turn into the NFL and everything as we know it will be left behind apart from the few clubs who started this.

    Would be i
interesting to see how the EPL table would look if all 6 clubs had their matches awarded 3-0 to the opposition teams.

Am I the only one with my fingers crossed for a positive outcome for this? With Celtic at least.

The global TV rights will abandon the EPL, their financial bubble bursts, we get more accessibility to their transfer markets, as well as other leagues decimated.

Scottish football is already in the gutter, it will be nice to have a bit more company, especially from pishy wee EPL teams who look down their noses at global clubs in * leagues like ourselves.

If their results were voided and awarded to the opposition clubs in EPL the table would be

    1) West Ham
    2) Leicester
    3) Leeds
    4) Everton
    5) Southampton
    6) Crystal Palace
    7) Newcastle
    8) Burnley
    9) Aston Villa
    10) Wolves
    11) Brighton
    12) Fulham
    13) West Brom
    14) Sheffield Utd
    --------------------
    15) Man City
    16) Man Utd
    17) Chelsea
    18) Liverpool
    19) Tottenham
    20) Arsenal

Every club involved should be banned next season from champions league even if it doesn't go ahead. Every club should be removed from domestic leagues. * the greedy *. Get them all to *.
