Aye, the commentator though ....... :56:

He uses the most bizarre imagery to describe Messi’s play and goals ...... and jizzes his Ys in the process! Sounds like he should commentate on darts, not football.

Not the CEO, former and already disgraced President Bartomeu was arrested for money laundering charges linked to BarcaGate/BartoGate whereby him & his board funnelled club funds to hire a social media company to attack/spy on their critics (Including players like Pique & Messi)

    aye?
Nae wonder the lads been hating the * if he is aware of this *.

I assume he is probably hoping on Laporta winning tomorrow for the elections, knowing it could signal positive movement at Barcelona that Messi will want. Specially if it means signing Halaand

Most cules I believe realize a massive course correction from the corrupt corporate derailment over past decade only possible under Laporta

Of the 3 candidates, he looks most sensible/likely to win.

Personally I am of a mindset these days that clubs shouldn't go back to an old president/manager/player, but that's probably more to do with this season at Celtic.

No doubt laporta was a success in his first stint. He needs to bring in a team of guys to help him again though.

Where is the supposed financial backing coming from him anyway?

Difficult choices to be made as a consequence of phenomenally poor ones over last decade which means you require exceptional leadership on top of having the best interests of the club at heart - even during his first tenure, the instruments of his success were in selecting the right people to carry out their roles at the club. Only Laporta ticks those boxes, plus I am finally optimistic Messi can be convinced of renewing as he trusts Joan should his sporting project be compelling

Restructure debt, cut dead weight/salaries, continue to build off La Masia as the bedrock of the club and build the brand back up from how tarnished it has gotten in past decade

7 months ago, Messi gave an interview to leave and we were still at the mercy of a corrupt Bartomeu driving the club off a cliff - I never imagined we'd get here much less this quickly but I am optimistic and that could only be possible at a club owned by it's members. Democracy triumphs, can't celebrate that enough even if tough work lies ahead

All that has been reported is that PSG feel they are the best positioned in terms of attractive offers for Messi - not revelatory, they have the most money

Jorge Messi meets with Laporta next week, we'll see how things evolve. 7 months ago he was 100% out the door, 4 months 70/30 - now? I say 40/60 in favor of him remaining/extending. Everything depends on what Laporta's sporting plan will be

Have to say, on a superficial basis just watching Barca the other night - they are heading back in the right direction.

In normal circumstances when they had the money he would 100% stay.

As it stands, I can see him going to City and then the MLS all tied in to the same deal. Just cannot see him at PSG.
