we are too small a team , have mentioned before taht we should be looking at relatively tall fullbacks or if we are gonna persist on attacking fullbacks then we need a couple of wanyama type midfielders to add height in there , that jordan white beat us most times any ball was fired long he was coming off the wing and out jumping our midfield ! We ate too lightweight and small! We need an imposing keeper rather than a ball playing keeper! Forster was tall but hd a big frame , bain is t the tallest and barkas is tall but is slight in build !

There’s a core of players who have played in this team for donkeys - are you suggesting that they’re so thick that they can’t remember what worked for them previously, or how each other operates?

If the lockdown gets lifted in the next 4 to 6 weeks and Lennon still there I think it could get ugly and make the carpark scene few months back look like a picnic and the board need to take the blame for this farce .

I go between wanting him never to show his face around Celtic Park again, to wanting him to be here just so fans can show him exactly what he’s done to his legacy here.

Yeah, clearly that's what I am saying...

It may have escaped your notice, but they are not playing the same style or system as they were in the past when it worked. Or that the defence is pretty much completely different from then and they haven't been drilled as a unit. But yeah, I was saying they are thick.

It all depends on Celtics next move regarding the management team. If we go Dr.Joe or Barnes route yes we are *.. if the board steps up and goes the MON or Rodgers route we will be fine. The huns are not PSG or Man City all of sudden, they still play in the same * league as us and will still have to sell players.. we can still out muscle them financially..

As I said it all depends on what we do next, * the huns

I don’t think the posts regarding us struggling to keep pace with them for the next few years are that far of the mark.

The scale of rebuild required cannot be underestimated and it won’t sort itself out over the summer. None of us really know what it’s going to look like as there’s been next to zero communication from the club, so it’s hard to speculate. Would it be a surprise if the board, pointing to financial difficulties caused by the last 12 months, subsequently kept Lennon on as manager and fail to replace the inevitable flood of players leaving? Probably not.

That mob are in a good position to have a bit of dominance. A settled team, a manager who appears to know what he is doing and at the very least, has the full respect of every one of their players. A manager who is also highly unlikely to bow to any demands of their board. Even if Lennon is replaced, I can’t see another Rodgers type coming in. It’ll be someone else who will take what they’re given.

Its going to be a rough ride for the next while and the longer Lennon remains in his job, the more convinced I am that he’s going nowhere.

I dont think the rebuild is as fast as many suggest. All we are needing is a decent competent coaching set up that know how to coach a group of players. We have a good core group and with the addition of a few quality players in certain positions and the selling of a few others we will win the league next year.

We don’t have people in place to hire the staff we need to coach the team.

At the height of our power the best we could think of was Neil Lennon. When we should’ve had a back up plan this season the best we could come up with was.. keep Neil Lennon?

The problem isn't next season, it's the next 5 seasons. There's no ambition, no diligence and no forward thinking going on. When we should be looking forward we look backwards. When action is required we have no answers and call it "not being rash".

Sure, we can hire someone in to win next season. Then what happens when they leave? Back to hiring * and let the huns win again. A football club is supposed to build, not constantly rebuild.

It's all down to the new CEO. If it's another Lawwell we'll be European minnows in 5 seasons. If he brings in the right people and modernises the club then in 5 years we'll be considering another 10IAR attempt.

There is a big rebuild. No doubt about it but with the right man we won't be too far away..

We have to get it right though..

We are likely to lose Edouard, Ajer, Christie, Ntcham and possibly Griff as he'll be down to 1 year on his contract in the summer. Brown is out of contract and shouldn't get a new one. Then we need to replace the loanees in Laxalt, Kenny, Elyounoussi and Duffy. A lot of those are current first team regulars so I'd say the rebuild needs to be pretty * fast.

This where a DOF comes in. The CEO and DOF are your continuity, they set the standards and the way the club moves forward. This allows the manager or head coach if we use European terms.to concentrate on the football, the tactics, telling the DOF what type.of player he wants etc. When the manager or coach leaves then the standards are already there, a new coach or manager has to fit them not the other way round. It should always be what the club want and need . Managers can come and go but only what happens on the training ground and on the pitch should concern them.
