And Rogers biggest achievement at Celtic was ragdolling Pedro like a seal pup.

I'm sure young managers around the world will be watching and re watching those matches for decades to come.

    > Asked his team to completely change the way of playing for one of the greatest victories in our club history
    > Doesn't do tactics

    ?

Why don't you ask fluorine cranberry what he thinks of Lennon for a better insight.

My worry is if they sack him or he walks before the summer, Kennedy will be in and made permanent in the summer.

I don't believe it has to do with money. We could still suspend him till the end of the season and put Kennedy in place as a cheap caretaker. Wouldn't cost anymore apart from maybe a few grands. Wouldn't be popular among supporters too but lift a bit of pressure. But either the board are to afraid to burn Kennedy as well and they wanba keep him for the future or, and that's my guess, Desmond is a stubborn * and don't want to admit that the protesting fans were right. I think it’s a billionaires ego thing.

You're right that that was the only way to get a result of Barca and I credit that to Lennon. It's actually the only thing I praise him for that he knew how to play against superior opposition. Lately he has lost that too and we're even worse against equal or inferior teams. That's why I think he's tactically unfit for a club like ours who plays mostly the second category of teams.

I’m not absolving Lenny of his share of the blame for this * of a season, but by Christ, plenty of our players have been embarrassingly honking!

I’m actually starting to wonder if they’ve always been poor and were just previously elevated by the 12th man!?

This fella could curl one out on the Celtic Way live on Sky, and still be favourite for job next year.

Apart from the fact the rest of Scottish football is *, Celtic dont deserve to be taking the 2nd place spot in the CL qualifiers next season.
Lennon has got a lot to answer for.

All the players that want out should sign pre contracts and Celtic should then know how much they have in next window then they can find replacements but Lennon should have no say on any new signings

You need to have six months or less left on your contract to sign a pre with someone else

This whole "we won't win the league for years" is a bit OTT...

When we stopped their 10 they won the league the following season. There are similarities too. New manager needed, lots of player turnaround needed too.

We are not a basket case like some believe. Yes major changes needed. We have some brilliant players still at the club and the right manager and coaches with some good investment we will be fine..

Seasons done, the rebuild needs to start now.. First thing is to rid the cub of Lennon and his backroom staff ASAP

All true, get a decent manager and we’ll take the league back next season.

No, they were elevated by having clearly defined roles in the team which were drilled into them in training. Now no one knows who is meant to be marking who is meant to be tracking runners and who is meant to be pressing. When you don't know what your team mate is going to do in a specific situation one of them is, 50% of the time, going to guess wrong and then you end up with either both doing the same thing, or neither doing what needs done.

I think that you are right about the bonus had we achieved 10IAR - I also think that (if the board have even identified a target), they will not be available until the summer and I don't think there is any plan B (as usual).

They obviously don't want to sack Lennon then have to pay him a bonus (which I totally agree with).

If we're right about the bonus - then the day after the Huns clinch, it - Lennon should be told to make a statement saying he's leaving at the end of the season. At least, that would put supporters mind at rest about next season. If he won't then sack him.

I want Lennon\Kennedy\Strachan\Hammond\Lawwell to all go and I'd be reluctant to let Kennedy manage us even on an interim basis. However, if Lennon won't play ball and is sacked - I'd give it to Kennedy but he would have to be clear that it would be until the end of the season only and then he's out.

The situations are not similar at all.

The old Huns were at the peak of their financial doping. So while Smith was leaving at the end of the season regardless of the outcome, the next manager would have the means to bring in several internationals to replace the deadwood. Let's not forgot, Advocaat was a highly regarded coach at that time, on a commanding salary (realtive to the era) but in any case, he wasn't left with a total mess. At least the Huns still took the league to the last day and could conceivably have won it.

Lennon's ineptitude is leaving Celtic not just 20 something points behind the scum and therefore in need of a much more substantial rebuild, but he is also leaving us in our worst financial position in well over a decade. That's whst failure to qualify for the CL on two separate occasions against dross like Cluij and Ferencvaros has done to us. We now need to sell our best players to mitigate the effects of Covid.

The Huns this time, on the other hand, are not going to have to change their manager like we did with Jansen. They're building from a solid base and will have more money than we have for the first time since their reincarnation.

Also, the winners of next year's league, get automatic entry into the CL. So in reality, the Huns will most likely be making 60m over the next two years while we struggle to make a profit. That is how grim the situation is.
