This is what I'm thinking... Someone is coming in after the season ends and Lennon knows this.

But as The Prof is saying, it's baffling why they wouldn't just get rid and keep the fans happy. Letting us all know that there will be changes.

It seems they have decided just to maintain the status quo until the end of the season, why they made that call I honestly don't know. But, I don't think he's still there just because they don't want to pay his severance. Fact is we have poor quality managers at many levels in the club, who react to events instead of trying to shape them or at least pre-empt them.

The board and Desmond won’t even know the result last night, and Lawwell will just be looking for his next opportunity so he’s not going to do anything.

Lennon is in charge until the new guy gets in.

9:07 delay must be due to roadworks.

Actually our board don’t make rash decisions like hiring someone in the showers after a game without looking at alternatives so he probably will be (unrashly) given a new contract.

Regardless if we're waiting for someone to become available in the summer, Neil must go now. It makes no difference to our season who fills in the team sheet.

Kenny and Laxalt should be nowhere near our plans for next season.

Laxalt has been stinking and Kenny looks bang average.

Think this board need to go as well now a total clear out from top to bottom as these people are not going to take us forward as a big club .
We need people who have ambition at the helm and see none of that at present .
To let the zombies over take us is a disgrace and with a eighteen point * lead and also getting to the latter stages of Europe twice in the last two seasons shows how badly our club is getting run on the football side of things .

In October he said if things don’t improve he’d hold his hands up and leave. He’s now admitting he doesn’t know how to turn things around. I’m genuinely exhausted with this now and I refuse to believe anyone can be this deluded. The only plausible explanation for him continuing to be manager is that he’s holding out for this supposed 10 in a row bonus pay off if he’s sacked. The man is a disgrace to himself and the club and should never be allowed to step foot inside Celtic park again. Don’t give a flying * what he’s achieved as a manager or player anymore - once he leaves his name should be erased from our history. Detest him.

    Just * off.

No manager should be allowed to keep their position at this club should it be abundantly clear they are not winning the league.

Sacking him before the second huns loss and actually spending real money in overhauling the management team could have seen this season be turned around. I've every belief that if the board gave a * about what is happening on the pitch,, more so, than they cared about giving their lapdog Lawell a massive send off and spunky handshake we'd have won this title and everything the huns threw at the league this year would have bankrupt them.

    * off Lennon.

    Just saw this elsewhere.

His Celtic career record v Ross County reads...

    Played 16
    Won 9
    Drawn 3
    Lost 4

The sign of a dreadful manager.

There's no ability there for modern football. Since he came back he has lived of Rodgers' work. 5 trophies that he claims for himself which are to a major part Rodgers' doing. The only input I saw in those were that we performed worse and worse for every cup until we were kicked out by Ross County.

People said he was the man to steady the ship when Rodgers left. Why? Because he didn't have any input into the team. Because he doesn't believe in tactics like Marvin Barkley said the other week. As it was still Rodgers team, they knew how to play. But the more that team changed and opponents became used to our system and tactics, the worse became our results. That was the point when a capable manager needed to intervene and it was the moment where Lennon was found out.

Even his biggest success, the victory against Barca, was achieved by parking the bus. Probably the easiest tactical instruction in the world of football. I loved that win, but c'mon, that wasn't some tactical genius.

Agree with everything you said bar the Barcelona result. That's the only way we were ever going to beat Barcelona. Bare in mind we very nearly got a draw at the nou camp in similar fashion. Lennon had that the disciplined in keeping shape tbf. Lennon is due all kinds of criticism here but the way he had our team lineup against Barcelona both home and away that year was superb in my book. A more interesting point might have been how juventus absolutely undone us with every set piece and aerial ball. An issue we are having with the current team, maybe this is something Neil Lennon has never been great at and we are seeing it for what it is now?

This isn't even the bottom. We still have 2 games left against the Huns. There's a lot of more suffering to come with Lennom left in charge. It must be a money thing now. He must due a fair bit of compo until its mathematically done. There's no other logical reason for keeping him on. No positives at all, squad look completely lost and have no belief in the management. What gets me is, put him on Gardening leave. Give the fans and club a boost. It may only be a small one but it's one of the only ones we've had all season.
