Could’ve been put on gardening leave, then dismissed once league is gone?

As I’ve said before, I don’t for one minute believe it’s financial. He’s still here because the board still want him here.

All statements, interviews and snippets being fed to the MSM suggest as much.

    Oor Neil. Celtic legend

He said he loves the club but the longer he stays on the more damage he is doing to the club & the rebuild just gets harder & harder. He's been completely found out since Damien Duff left as he clearly doesn't have a clue about tactics ,a fact which has been stated by numerous former players.

Cause he’s a yes man, he’s their man. They retain complete control and he’s their puppet. He doesn’t make any demands, he just follows orders.

That’s about the only possible reason I can come up with

The rumours about the contract stating he can be dismissed if it’s mathematically impossible to win the league have to be true??? Surly that’s what it must be

why sack him now and spend millions when just wait for the inevitable for free, it has to be that

Good question. Most boards expect their manager to be able to actually do the job that they pay him good money to do.
Ours seem quite happy to keep paying him to * up.

If they wanted to avoid that they could also just relieve him of his duties. Lots of clubs do it like that and continue paying their former managers if they cannot afford to pay at once or if they hope another club will take the manager under contract. So I don't think that bonus talk is a real argument for the club.

But they could put him on gardening and Kennedy, big Mick or O'Dea could quite easily be their yes men..

They wouldn't rock the boat and Lennon would be gone..

    It still doesn't make sense..

Maybe all that * of the board publicly during every interview over the last few month's has reaped it's rewards..

If we win our next 2 games and the Huns do also - then they only need a point at Paradise on 21/3 to clinch the league - that really would be the cherry on top of this * of a season.

Frankly, I'm not sure that we will win the next 2 after todays performance and it might not be a bad thing - I'd sooner that its sorted before we play them.

I have no idea if this story about Lennon being due a big bonus if we won 10IAR is true. I don't honestly expect to see any announcement in the next 2 weeks as I think, for whatever reason, they are waiting until the league is lost.

However, if something isn't announced immediately after that, then I'll be really worried.

I would actually say there is as much (if not more) apathy than anger among the fans (including myself) and personally I think that's worse.

Agreed. And given that hasn’t happened, it makes me believe that NL will remain as manager into next season

The guy is damaging the club, by allowing this to continue the Board have failed in ther duties big time, it's criminal that we are still limping on with the same clueless manager, totally bizzare situation.

I read Suttons book years ago, and always remember he said MoN never gave us much of a game plan he sent us out there to do the business and the players were good enough to do it, but this is 2021, players are raised in academy's in much more methodical terms and need to be given tactical insights and plans and targeted training.

To me it looks increasingly like Desmond and Lawwell are just try to get one over the fans for protesting in October.

Desmond doesn’t take insults well. This is why we need to drive the * out.
