Not overly impressed, nor unimpressed. Seems bang average at best.

But here we are, Everton's (* *) 3rd choice right back is our starting right back.

Just remember, our 3rd choice right back 2 weeks ago was Anthony Ralston.
And most clubs don't actually discuss 3rd choice for these sort of positions, it's usually used by some no mark player who's too old to be a youth any more.

No disrespect to the lad, but it's awfully underwhelming to say the least.

He wasn’t that good there. If he was they would have bought him. As I’ve said before having close friends who are Everton fans that live here in Merseyside don’t rate him either.

I thought clubs had tried to buy him but didn't want to pay £10m

That’s what Everton wanted from the clubs in England.

Even Everton’s own fans where laughing saying are we trying to con people like Liverpool when they sold players like Solanke, Ibe, Kent, Smith, Brewster. For daft money and they where surplus to requirements.

Everton fans don’t rate Him at all.

Doesn’t mean much for individual players when Kabak has just joined Liverpool.

    They wanted him permanently.

I have mates that are from teams all over who don’t rate players, do rate players. Means nothing.

Hes far more robust defensively than Frimpong. Offers more stability. Would be decent if we could keep beyond the initial 6 months.

Which is even more baffling since they're rock bottom of the Bundesliga i wouldn't say defenders are their strong point :56:

Can be good players in their own right which I think Kabak is.

They are very strange, hasn’t been a blip it’s been a long time they’ve been * but they’ve got a decent squad.

It's mental think they've only won once this season

Why didn’t they buy him then? So fans who have season tickets seen him play means nothing...... don’t think so.

    Pointless, insipid signing.

Instead of bringing in second and third rate temporary failures from elsewhere that mean we are paying for some other clubs failures why aren't we playing our own players, good or bad.

For the wages we are paying on Toljans and Kenny's we could be developing/proving/disproving our own development team or buying young prospects and blooding them in.

Absolutely no imagination or long term vision in this club at present or for too many years.

He's a good solid tackler but seemingly a great crosser? I've seen a couple decent buy nothing to think here we've a player on our hands.
Surely it's a case of wait till the new manager takes the healm

His crosses so far have ranged from non-existant to abysmal (that being the single cross I've seen from him that made it more than 5 feet without hitting the first player).

Why didn’t we buy Denayer, Forster, Keane, Bellamy, Benkovic, Roberts, Guidetti to name a few?

    Really stupid question.

There’s more factors than just wanting a player. Price, competition, players wages, players ambition, parent club wanting them back etc, etc... I shouldn’t have to explain basic transfer logic in a football forum.

Would love to have bought every player there except Guidetti, genuinely thought the guy was at best average as a striker, the only person that thought Guidetti was a great striker was Guidetti- not sure where’s hes at now but was absolutely pish when he had a few attempts with mid table sides in la liga ended up been benched at every club he went to

I wasn’t arsed about him but he had spells up here where he showed his quality. Just an example of a player that was on loan and even if we wanted to buy him, we wouldn’t of got him.

I hope he’s not our RB come the start of next season, on his showing so far. Defensively he looks ok ish, positional sense was a bit a wry at St Mirren but going forward he is absolutely horrendous. Can’t cross the road and refuses to get to the bye line. Another journey man EPL player making a fortune from the game.
