He has never been in the same position/context for Celtic for a moment to mean that much.

He is also not a fan like you or I, so I don't expect to see that sort of emotion at club level.

Closest thing I've ever seen is Henrik's interview after the Utd game, his last league match. That's the sort of comparison we are talking here.

For you, that's fair enough it's not that it meant that much, but for some other posters, it definitely is and they just can't stomach it.

Really don’t get how some people are trying to compare Scotland qualifying for a major tournament to anything Christie has done in his time here.

We’ve won everything in sight and been expected to win everything.

He’s grew up in Scotland thinking we’ll never qualify for a tournament in his lifetime.

I don't expect him to burst into tears after one of our games mate, I want him to put in the same effort for us as he does in a Scotland jersey, and this season he hasn't. The tears annoyed me because you could see it meant a lot to him, but he couldn't really give two * about Celtic, that's what put me right off him. He would do well to remember who pays his wages. Plenty players who were not brought up fans of the club have showed plenty emotion playing for us, Christie isn't interested. If he was contributing with goals and assists I wouldn't be bothered in all honesty, but he isn't, and he has been pish all season.

Cool mate that's fair enough. Crossed wires on my part as I wasn't originally talking about his effort in games.

He has been chronic this season, I agree. So has the majority of the team.

He’s annoyed the life out of me this season but the passion he brought when he established his place was something else. The game at Murrayfield and his assist against RBL, it impressed me. And it did for a good 18 months, like many this season there’s something just... off.

I agree, it’s turned into a selfishness. That RBL assist I mentioned, does anyone believe he’d pass that if he had the chance this season?

Took his goal well but I'd still rather we played someone else.

We did, then he came on and played unselfishly and scored. I want that to keep happening.

Tell you what annoys me? Watching him for Scotland doing the commentators say he’s dangerous in they positions.

Like, it’s no just us being harsh surely, he’s awful at set pieces. First man at corners or the wall from free kicks.
It canny just be Celtic fans that see that man :56:

His set pieces are abysmal. How he pulled rank over Turnbull for the free kick is beyond belief. Took his goal well to be fair.

Experienced pro, international player but just way off it this season, way too greedy, * poor decision making.
One thing I will say in his defense, we have been shoehorning him a lot this season. Has been asked to play in Forrest's position a lot, not his natural position. And last night when he came off the bench, he took up a strikers position beside Eddy.
He is a box to box midfielder, great engine, I would like to see him instead of CalMac, that position he could not accord to be greedy.

Did well today and played a huge role in swinging the game back and in our favour.

He’s frustrating as * at times, but I’ve got a lot of sympathy for him in that he’s shifted about between four positions constantly and playing in a team that has severely lacked structure, rhythm and an attacking identity this season. Given a run as a number 8 in a team lead by a competent manager, I’ve no doubts he would thrive again.

One of many who’s suffered massively from the lack of proper coaching this season.
