Only second half, as I admitted to in the march thread.

Doesn't change what I said, we panicked and looked disorganised and under pressure for the later stages of that game.

Again, a game against bottom six is all we are capable of winning. Any team organised can do damage to us.

Of course we can't blame him for the deflection, but we can blame him for how the team is organised, completely standing off them for the build up to that deflection (not for the first time), then from that we became pressured and disorganised, no instructions and no structure, no help given to them, that's on the manager.

I'm not on here defending Neil's role as manager this season. He has a lot to answer for and I cannot defend that. The damage has been done a long time ago and the majority of supporters will not forgive him. My main point is that for what ever reason(s) everything has been so wrong for us this season but I do not blame him for everything. People always say it's the manager that has to pay the price for the results on the field. This season has not been a normal year for many reasons. The reason I mentioned Liverpool earlier is they cantered to the league last season and now look at them. They have injury problems but other things have gone against them as well. Who ever is in charge of next season I believe we will win the league.

Never saw the first half. The second was dreadful.

We were in control without looking remotely threatening, then he made a few subs and all of a sudden we were on the back foot and giving away chances for fun.

Just a coincidence though, I’m sure.

    Assuming you’re trolling.

Why are you bringing up Gerrard there? He never inherited a squad who had completely dominated domestic football for years.

Lennon did that and has taken us backwards to the extent where we’re unlikely to win a single trophy this season, having won 12 in the previous 4 seasons. And that’s just scratching the surface.

Soro aside the subs were a complete and utter joke, but that's not really a surprise. Somehow despite how dominant we were for large parts of that game we were fortunate to come away with the win.

Bunkum. Utter nonsense Sir. Take the 2003 team. Could Chris Sutton or Petrov or Valagaeren sit in front of the back 4, break up play and pass the ball backwards? Course they could, ALL DAY LONG. Could Lennon have played centre half, up front or as attacking midfielder? Could he fu*k

Nonsense. Sitting in front of the back four, breaking up play and passing the ball backwards requires a very low level of footballing skill and intelligence which is why Neil Lennon was in that position. In terms of footballing technique of average ability (on his best day)

Aye sitting midfielders who have to cover the side to side, protect the defence, win battles and generally dictate the game and tempo....is for the footballing dummies..

You still trying to dig out they hole.. :56:

You really know nothing about football if you think being an effective DM doesn't require footballing intelligence.

The most important player on the park when it comes to positional awareness and cementing a system..

Lennon was an effective DM, a player we missed when he didn't play. Its not even a debate that he was an excellent player..

I really dont know what is more bizarre anymore........ Lennons substitutions and in game management or the people who keep supporting him.
For Lennon to come out and say we were "outstanding" at times is borne on the ridiculous. We were playing a Motherwell team who are sitting in 9th place, had a few players out and should have scored at the end to take a point. These are the bits Lennon should be highlighting. Around 70 mins we slowed right down and let them come at us. Our fitness levels are shocking. Lennon consistently fails to address the obvious problems but what is fecking outstanding is how he has managed to cling on to his job !!

I honestly can't fathom why the * he took off both Turnbull and Taylor today. It's things like that (and sticking with Bain in goals) that clearly show he's not a good manager.

Same logic when waxing lyrical and taking the credit when beating st Johnstone with two injury time goals after zero shots on target in 90mins

More this goes on the more I think they could give the gig to brown in the summer on retiring from playing

This is going to be the critical factor, and I am truly angst ridden about it!

I have a fab life, work like * and on the road a lot. Got a lad at the age we can now get a pint. Perfect day (Covid dependent) for me is up on a Saturday, nice brekky, off to the game and a few beers with the mates and the lad, then up the road for a fine bit of grub and rum basking in the glow of a another Celtic win, good movie, maybe some music with all the family.

    * hate this hierarchy for making me have to choose between my Utopia and the need for change.
