Scott Bain

Without a doubt , all far more reliable and have the benefit of looking like someone who had played in Goal before.
There's 2 definitions of a No2" ones a 2nd choice the other has different meaning ,Bain is the latter I'm afraid, lol

 

De Vries, Brown and Barkas are in no way more reliable than Bain. Bain isn't good enough, but let's not be silly about it. De Vries and Barkas must have the lowest save percentage to shots faced than any other Celtic goalkeeper in history. As it stands, Barkas is up there with the worst transfers in our history also considering what we paid.

 

Barkas is no way as bad as he's shown here,not sure what the reason is ,again I blame Woods .He has 3 keepers currently involved with the first team and non are stand outs for 1sf choice, one a young keeper with little experience but potential.
Barkas has proven he's a good keeper and an international , Bain had a decent career at Alloa ,since then he's proved poor and unreliable plus at Funded ,bad news.
if you consider that he's a good 2nd choice keeper that's fine but he's not for me.
I stand by the fact a 2bd choice keeper should be either an experienced back up or a competitor , how many chances gas Bain had and each time he's been dropped, that says it all for me , As you say he's not good enough and a millionaire no doubt iff the back of it.
he's s poor man's Cammy Bell who had a did well at Killie and has made s fortune since without any justification , Bain has done nothing at Dundee, Hibs or here

 

Barkas hasn't proven he is a good keeper. I don't give two * how he has performed elsewhere, I care about how he has played for us, and he has been shocking, and thus far, pound for pound arguably one of our worst ever signings. Trying to blame Woods for that is laughable, Barkas has been garbage since he arrived, right from the first game.

I never said Bain was good enough to be 2nd choice. I don't think he is good enough for Celtic, but right now, he is the best we have. Hazard is still young and may well come good, but he isn't ready, not the lads fault, he could be doing with a loan to gain more experience, but he has been thrown in the deep end. Lennon hasn't given any of them a run in the team though, which is similar right through the team. He constantly bleats on about consistency, well maybe don't chop and change the starting X1 every game and we might get consistency. If we had a good enough first choice keeper we wouldn't even be having this discussion about Bain, that says more about our scouting than Bain.

5tn best keeper in the last 15 years ,hmmmm.
When you did the list you should left a huge gap between Gordon and Bain I dare see Bain will go well down the list over the next few games

 

Thought did ok the day apart from that last chance for well. But the whole team was a farce by then so am not holding it against him. Decent game.

Don’t see the point in him coming in. Surely got to just stick with Barkas till the summer or at least play Hazard. Bain is not going to be number 1 long term

Barkas has been a bigger disaster than Rafael.

Rafael * played well in a game I was at against Aberdeen, then he played two more games and got papped out on loan. Don't remember him making a * of it on the pitch.

Barkas is * stinking. Bain is honking as well.

Better just seeing out the season with Stevie Woods in goals, and I'm no even joking.

Seen better keepers in LOI football,would love to know where they get their information from when it comes to recruiting keepers.

 

Has never ever been good enough for this football club. Haven't seen anything to suggest he's any better than Hazard, who actually seems to make more saves than Bain on average. If Barkas is getting dropped, I'd just go with Hazard at this point.

 

Aye I kinda defended Bain as an alright backup and to come back in but he's nowhere near good enough for us..

At cross ball's he is so small he usually has to punch
We don't play this special playing out from the back game so his distribution isn't overly important
He isn't a great shot stopper at all

I keep flip-flopping over the 3 keeper's but Bain was a backup for a good reason..

Get either a younger keeper with potential to grow in to the position or our 5 million pound keeper back in for now..

We'll find out if Hazard is the answer, even as backup or we can still get a decent enough fee for Barkas if played in to any form..

We already know the score with Bain..

No, I didn't say he was a good 2nd choice keeper, I said he wasn't good enough for Celtic, but he is the best we currently have, which he is. We all know Bain isn't good enough, but I'm beginning to think he has pumped your missus.
