Desmond being a stubborn * and probably not having anyone that can come in short term

 

Hes gonna be in the dugout on tuesday now we all need to shut up and pay our season tickets like good lil money signs

 

Right now Desmond needs to make the decision to sack him, even if they have no one lined up he needs removed for the sake of the club, go with McManus and whoever is in charge of the boys until they find an adequate replacement, it's * baffling how this is allowed to continue. The fans need to see something is going to change, sacking him lets us know this. The negligence by everyone involved has me questioning myself and why I can't understand how he's still there.

The very definition of a rolling contract

 

The 12 Month Fixed-term Contract is well understood by most people to be one that ends automatically when the season ends but many are confused when the word “Rolling” is included. Many users of social media have said that they interpret a 12 Month Rolling Contract to be a standard Indefinite-term contract as defined in the first section above and the notice period for either party is 12 months, rather than a more normal 30 days.

However, this is not the case: a 12 Month Rolling Contract is a 12 Month Fixed-term Contract, as defined in the second section above, that includes clauses under which each party can ask the other to renew it, or “roll it over”; either party can decide not to renew and there is no obligation on either side to pay compensation in such a case.

Thus, a typical Fixed-term Rolling Contract will normally include a date at which both parties should indicate whether they wish the contract to roll over at the termination date; this will often be set some months earlier than termination rather than being something like 30 days and allows each party sufficient time to find alternative employment or employees.
There is no limitation to what clauses can be added to such fixed-term rolling contracts and it is perfectly possible to add events such as promotion or relegation to the rollover decision.

Of course a normal Fixed-term Contract can be renewed when it ends but the benefit of the Rolling Fixed-term Contract is that both parties declare their intentions well in advance. No, it's not: a 'twelve-month rolling contract' is just a twelve-month fixed-term contract to which another year is added if neither party exercises its right to stop the automatic extension.

This idea that he has twelve months left on his contract each day that he wakes up is nonsense.

It was a lot more commonplace 10/15 years ago. Rodgers is the only modern Celtic manager I can think of who got a fixed term contract. It protects clubs against large payouts, with the maximum payout only being limited to 12 months salary.

There will need to be a termination agreed in the summer. It is the same termination that would need to be agreed now.
