I dont say this lightly, and I am a guy who feels he has a good grasp of emotions.
With every ounce of passion, i despise this board, a propper hatred and utter contempt. Would not shed a drop of pisss if they were on fire.

I get what you’re both saying. Fundamentally I’m in agreement.

The first thing I’d say is if Lennon is told he’s finished and the players are told he’s finished, I think you’d see enough of an upturn in performances to finish second. Again it’s not my preference, I would give literally anyone else the job for the remainder of the season.

My only point is we need new leadership from the top and it is them who should be pursuing a manager, and the chances are we will have our best opportunity to get a manager if we do it in the summer.

I would personally give a new manager a fresh start in the summer, completely cut off from the riot of this season.

I don’t think there’s a great deal of benefit coming in now especially under pandemic conditions and while Lawwell is still running the show. I think too much is made of having a head start. I also think either way the champions league qualifiers will be a huge ask, I don’t think coming in early would be of any benefit for them.

Anyway, the bottom line for me is Lawwell should be gone before the new management team comes in. They should never even meet each other.

I'd have a modicum of respect for Lennon if he did the right thing and stood down, also if the Board did their job and removed him i would applaud them for acting in the best interests of Celtic, but none of that looks likely to happen any time soon. The daily destruction of the club is being allowed to continue and that is criminal, i only feel anger and hatred towards Lennon and the Board, this is under their watch, they are fully responsible for the mess we are in, this season of all seasons, it's unforgivable.

The grim truth is that every day and week that passes sees the gap widen between rangers and us. They’re not a great team, but they’re steadily plodding along while we implode and regressing at an alarming rate.

The truth is that it’s no longer this year’s league title that’s being jeopardised by Lennon and the board’s indecision, it’s next year’s. If we don’t steady our ship and start preparing for next season then we can wave goodbye to champions league qualification (yet again) and prepare for a rocky start to the season which will see us playing catch up again.

I think announcing to the squad and manager that he's leaving 4 months before they do, would have the opposite effect than motivating them.

The players in the squad that want out in the summer won't knock in their pan, the players around the fringes of squad might think I could give my all to get into the team now and then the manager changes and I'm back in the reserves.

We had 5 games left under.Deila which is a massively different prospect than now.

Bring in a new manager, allow him to analyse the squad with a view to signings early in the summer for the UCL qualifiers.

If we dither and appoint a guy in June then expect him to qualify in the non-Champions route during a massive squad overhaul then we're setting him up to fail.

There are no benefits in keeping Lennon in the job. The club needs a lift. The squad needs some fresh impetus. It should've been changed 4 months ago but that's gone, the next best time is now.

If it's not a permanent manager then at least give us an interim one.

so is this where we are at ?

we are not willing to sack the manager because we would have to pay him the remainder of his contract ?

i dont know what to even say about that except its self harm by a huge multi million pound a year institution and the inaction is hurting our image globally, i thought if the plc didnt care about the fans they'd at least care about the share price ? but it seems they dont care about * anything the clubs leadership seem impotent, we seem rudderless

players have taken resentments to this manager they have not played for him all season

there is a poison sucking the life out of the club, we as fans can all see it and yet lawwell and desmond and the board cant see it, the * whole world can see it what is causing the constipation in making the decision ?

there is more twists and turns this season than corrie, EastEnders and Emmerdale combined, absolute shambles - wake me up when this nightmare is over.

who actually appointed Lawwell that's what I want to know, ivory towers and fat wages looking down calling the shots!

You want a football man running the club - someone who bleeds for the club.

Interesting fact - Rod, sorry sir rod :-0 is worth an estimated 190 million - if he bleeds green and white so much why didn't he throw some spare change to help bring in a few radical changes for the magic 10. he could have paid for cavani's wages for one season so selfish !!

I knew all along and had a stinking feeling that the 10 in a row is poisoned chalice and the holy grail - a bit like that Mayo GAA curse! the focus for 10 took away from what should happen no matter what - the team are only as good as the next game, the next pass and every game is a cup final with that mindset within the team whether it be away to alloa or at home to lille in Europe.

we thought we could coast to the 10. the only coast we are witnessing this year is the wheels coming off and going over the coastal cliff

Worth a bash in my eyes, seasons * anyway so why not.

Don't have as much anger towards folk like him or Strachan as I have no real clue about their level of input.

I know for sure I don't want Lennon anywhere near us ever again though.

It's hard to know if that's the reason for certain, it could just as easily be a case of not being able to find a suitable replacement immediately.

Lennon & Lawell remaining....death by a thousand cuts.

Rumours at both ends. Its Howe, Lennon till the end of the season. No one knows....and there in lies the problem. No plans for the future. Hope the huns implode. For a club of our structure, with the people behind it is criminal.

The shitshow Circus carries on.... no end end sight.

I agree. That’s why I would get rid of Lennon too. I’m just saying that if no one is willing to take his place then we should at least announce he is going in the summer.

I know it’s not ideal for the squad but I think it would give them more of a lift than thinking they might be stuck with him. It would end the uncertainty. Put it this way, if I’m any player in that squad I want a new manager, but failing that I want to know it won’t be Lennon for much longer.

When you say bring in a new manager.. who is it you want to make that decision? Lawwell? That’s my problem. Letting Lawwell appoint a manager now is like Lennon signing players.

Also, even if we get a manager in now expecting him to qualify for the champions league is unrealistic. If we rush a managerial appointment for that goal then we’re rushing an enormous decision, with the wrong person making the decision, during a pandemic - all to try and achieve something that will likely not work out anyway.

The league is gone now, let’s take our time and fix the problem properly rather than letting the wrong people rush into another calamitous decision.

As soon as we get a good director of football his first job will be to get a good manager.

kennedy has been there too long, stale as *. he is on the training ground everyday, he should be the first to go - out of his depth by a long long way!

look at the body language, sitting in the dug out with lennon having a yarn, a good coach it out making tactical changes during games to exploit weakness, tighten up areas of concern - cheerio now all the best.

bring in Damien duff, brown as his sidekick until the end of the season if howe doesn't want to come in then - but id get howe in now - galvanise the existing players and quickly get a centre half and goalkeeper in on loan.

I am guessing that too, sleeping at the wheel/lack of planning. It is so bad and has been so bad for so long that I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if it was self sabotage to keep the huns a going concern.
