He has had a dreadful loan spell. Hoped his loan spell would be enough for someone to buy him.

Would give this guy another chance nxt season , has all the attributes, height pace , pay for a good striker to compliment alongside , lose klimala or ajeti , both will struggle unless we get the ball in earlier ajeti won't get goals .

Just sums Lennon up letting Bayo go. He’s probably the only striker that actually suits our style of play.

How often do we get the ball into good crossing positions and cut it back because there’s no aerial threat or movement in the box.

Edouard is a defenders dream when your playing a low block. Loves everything to feet and it makes him predictable and easy to mark.

I don’t think Bayo is the messiah but we need a striker with a similar profile to him next season.

Did you watch Bayo when he was here mate? Not worth a jersey.

This is only Bayo's 3rd goal in ligue 2, 4th if you include an own goal. He isn't as good as any of the 4 strikers we have. I'd rather give Afolabi a shot to be honest.

It’s not my whole point though. Although he didn’t really get a fair chance IMO. He did score a few goals when he was given a chance. It’s very hard to judge a player on 5-10 min sub appearances.

My main point is we have 4 strikers and none of them are renowned for their aerial threat or getting on the end of crosses. It’s been torture watching us getting into the final third then turn back the way because we don’t have a target man in the box to aim for.

Then we need to get a new striker in who is capable in the air. When I saw PRE Celtic clips of Bayo his aerial skills seemed to be good but he really does disappoint outside of that

100% we need a new frontline never mind one striker.

Edouard is away and I don’t think the other strikers are good or reliable enough to the main man.

We know how good Griff can be but we also know he isn’t reliable either.

Ajeti and Klimala at this stage both don’t look good enough. I like Klimalas attitude and work rate but that’s not enough.

Surely Bayo should have been recalled and played in the last 2 games. * poor if we don’t have a recall in his loan agreement

Recalling him and ruining any potential sell to Toulouse probably wasn't worth it.

Agree with this we badly need a couple of new options up top when Eddy goes. I think we have badly missed a proper centre forward who can hold the ball and link play since Dembele left. The type of striker who ties up defenders and can link play with the midfield and wingers depending on formation.

I like the look of Jorgen Strand Larsen at Groningen who is playing well this season and also has a good aerial threat given his height. His playing style has been compared to Zlatan all be it at a lower level.

Another is Van Hooijdonk’s boy Sydney who is playing with NAC Breda he is untested at a higher level but is well built has decent pace, strength and can finish. He is also available for free at the end of the season as his contracts up, he wouldn’t be the only player I would bring in but would be a good option alongside someone else.

David Strelec at Slovan Bratislava is another emerging talent who links the game well and has a good scoring record at just 19. He has been Sporar’s replacement who we tried to get last year.

More experienced options who are available include Serder Dursen who plays in Bundesliga 2 has a goal every other game over the last couple of seasons. He links the play well, is good with the ball at his feet and has good instincts in the box to be in the right place at the right time. Marko Livaja at AEK while not being the tallest is good at holding the ball up and bringing others into the game. Has good technique and work rate. Is not the most prolific however does chip in with goals and could be a good partner for someone who could be your talisman.

Where it would be great to get a Georginho Rutter or even better, Boulaye Dia that seems unrealistic where as some of the options above could prove a good route to get what we need.

The fact we wasted 3M on him when even Shankland or Nesbit would of been far better additions to the squad speaks volumes of our * recruitment policy.

Worse when you think it was Lubo who recommended him.

    Larsson recommended Bangura.

Another case of ‘jobs for the bhoys’ instead of investing in a modern scouting network.

Shankland has been found out in the top flight. Nisbet has done well at Hibernian though.
