Potential Manager Suggestions?

  1. It would certainly raise the level of tactical knowledge.

  2. I do have a similar fear. The narrative will be he won a treble the previous year (and 5 trophies in a row) and this year has been disrupted due to COVID. An incredibly basic way to look at it but would not surprise me - everyone looks for ways to justify their own failures.

  3. Once again, short termism in this post.

A new STRUCTURE at the club is needed top to bottom, with everyone singing off the same hymn sheet.

Could bring another Rodgers in and fans will lap it up, does not fix ROOT CAUSES of problems.

While the board, management, and players are to blame, some respect so are the fans. I've been saying here for years, majority of football fans have SHORT TERM thinking, a football club like a business needs a 5-10 year focus not next weeks game. Fans have been focused on the wrong protests, questions/protests should have been raised after Rodgers departure and downsizing again with Lennon (clearly many thought with their hearts not with heads). I would miss out on another year of success if i was GUARANTEED that the club is transferring to the right hands and we are rebuilding once again from bottom to top for long term successes.

If anyone isnt keen on Eddie Howe I would go on YouTube and watch Eddie Howe Mic’d up.

Full pre season training session at Bournemouth, gives an idea of the coach he is and that we desperately need. Very insightful and impressive, looks to challenge and improve problem areas.

Definitely in the mould of Brendan and his training.

  4. I would be happy with Howe but it would be a completely different job to Bournemouth. They were playing against better teams nearly every week who were attacking them and trying to win so they could hit on the break. He'd need a whole new approach to having to break down packed defences nearly every week. But if he's a good manager then he should be able to adapt. Can spend the rest of this season working on tactics etc and be ready for next season. He'd also have to get used to having to win every game.

  6. TBF, the rebuild hinted at in the rumor is fairly deep. Lawwell out, changes to the board, Kennedy moved away from coaching... I don't like the idea of Desmond's son coming into the picture, but I can't call up 10 000 angry Celtic fans at my beck to physically force Desmond out of the club.

  7. I like Eddie Howe and could see him do a very good job here. It is possible if DD is on board that someone like Howe would be the target and possibly with Rodgers showing a move to the PL is achievable if you do well up here he will be intrerested. I am assuming his budget at Bournemouth would have been similar to ours as in wage structure wise? If he is interested its a no brainer.

  8. You know those ‘ITK’ texts are bullshit when they try to have every eventuality covered in an attempt to sound convincing..

  9. At least Desmond’s son is an investment banker. They’re usually less financially frugal than accountants by nature..

  16. It is now a case of anyone but Lennon for me. At least his successor will, presumably, be sackable.
