Not remember Jack Hendry running round in circles with the ball? He was like a rabbit in the headlights every time he got the ball.

John Kennedy insists Celtic won't be sending Shane Duffy back to Brighton despite a disappointing loan spell so far.

The Irish defender has found himself on the bench and even fourth choice at times behind Kris Ajer, Christopher Jullien and Nir Bitton.

Pictures of him boarding a flight back from Dubai early led to further speculation that he would be allowed to return to Brighton and look for a move elsewhere.

But it was revealed that he was flying back to the UK to deal with a family situation and would be joining up with the Hoops again.

And now John Kennedy insists there's no chance of Duffy leaving the club in the coming weeks with Neil Lennon relying on him moving forward.

He told CelticTV: “We have no intention of sending him back to Brighton

He’s one who’s in our thoughts and will come into consideration going forward."

Duffy has made 20 appearances for Celtic since moving to the Premiership and scored four goals.

But he's been criticised for a series of defensive mistakes that have played a part in the Hoops sitting 19 points behind Rangers at the top of the table.

Not looking for an argument but what's your thoughts about the situation Notorious? Do you think we should keep him?

I only ask because you post regular updates about him.

Didn't seem like abuse to me. I'd rather we signed someone else as he isn't what's required for the way we play.

Think he's entitled to his opinion tbh. He's a celtic fan who's on a 30grand a week wage and shouldn't be anywhere near our first team. Fans should be entitled to call out all of the * recruitment that's been happening at the club. Employing old pals like Lennon, or players like Duffy because they sang a few reb tunes in a pub is just plain negligent and has cost us the ten. He's one of the highest paid players at the club and you can't convince me he's any better than Welsh. Nice guy, absolute dug meat football player.

Personally, I'd cut the loan deal short. Replace him with Declan Gallagher. Who will be on a fraction of the wage and who is a similar but superior type of player. Who will have a possible resale value after the Euros if we want to get rid in 6 months. The money we are wasting on Duffy is ludicrous.

The loan transfers that come with the most fanfare rarely live up to the hype. Toljan, Duffy, musonda, weah must be others as well

Musonda was a sore yin, I remember telling everybody with total faith he would be a baller. Toljan is still playing at a semi decent level in Serie A or something I'm sure ... mind boggling.
