Top player utilized terribly under Lenny & Brendan when they decided to shoehorn him into CB.

Larsson was world class

 

Have a look at the Bayern second goal we conceded at home, yes he mistimed his jump (but he isn't a CB) but you can't say he didn't put his head where it hurts, more proven false accusations.

 

Funny you didn’t use the video of him at Hampden against the huns, * moaning about cramp then jogs up to take a penalty. The guy needs moved on he’s never a CB no matter how much he is played there.

 

At least he had the balls to take a penalty and score it too, plenty players wouldn't step up in that situation, shows he doesn't have the heart of a mouse that many claim.

I agree he's not a CB, he's a CM & should be played there next season under a new manager who will appreciate & utilize him better, plus with the number of players about to exit the club in the Summer, it'd be mental letting a player like Bitton be a part of that exodus. Brown, Ntcham & Christie for starters will be exiting that MF area who can all play CM, so he'll be a very good player to keep & under the right manager I'm confident he can rejuvenate his career in MF with us after this season.

 

Nope! He’s shown time and time again he cannot be counted on, we will be going into a massive rebuild in the summer and he should be gone.

 

Very unfair in that the games you're talking about in which he's been counted on he's played CB, not his natural position, imagine Brown had been asked to play CB in recent seasons, I'm sure he would have struggled far more than in MF too, in fact I'm sure he'd have been far, far worse than Bitton given he's been guilty of giving away clumsy penalties in recent seasons, such as Hibs this season & Cluj/Hearts last season.

Bitton has did his best at CB & btw he was actually playing very well against the huns until that mental moment, put him back into MF & let's see how he does under a new manager who knows how to organize & setup a team in a proper structure/system.

 

There's a reason he's been moved into centre half.

The way we play, he's better as a centre half than at centre mid. Particularly against the usual domestic pish we play against where his lack of pace and energy in midfield drags the team down. Look at what Soro has done for us recently. Something in that position who can play sharp passes, spin players and get around the pitch. Bitton doesn't offer that.

 

I agree Soro has been tremendous & should continue to keep his place in the starting 11, but plenty top teams have top players who aren't the quickest in the middle of the park. Prime Busquets wasn't the quickest, neither was Xavi, don't need to have a team of buzz bombs in the middle, so long as they are intelligent both in & out of possession.

 

Give it up, he’s constantly made mistakes no matter where he plays. Mentioning him along with Xavi is just as embarrassing as watching Bitton’s mistakes.

 

Constantly made mistakes? That happens a lot with players on our budget, CalMac has made a large number of errors this season, time to bin him too? We'd have no squad left.

Also, only reference I made was that you don't have to have a lot of pace to play central midfield effectively, plenty top players have proven that, didn't once say he's on a par with Xavi ffs

He's a good midfielder & I'm hopeful he'll prove that next season under a new manager.

What glaring errors that have cost goals can you remember from him in MF?

 

Someone on here mentioned it before the huns game about him keeping his hands down, he has had previous for stupid fouls many times.

i say it again he fluffed an easy header and he is too slow on the ball he is Mr horizontal - he is part of the deadwood in the club - has like ability but we want match winners and consistency and players who would run through a brick wall for the team and fans
