    No it doesn’t.

    Aye it does.

Is that hypocritical or a wee bit insane?

I’m going for insane. I’m conceding nothing to you *

I believe you. It's a very fair post and there's nothing I take issue with in it. The only thing I'd say is that to me (and others) it doesn't (unlike to you) look like his reasons for staying are selfish. To be honest, if I thought that for one second, I certainly wouldn't defend him.

Why would Lennon be called fat when he isn’t? Why would anyone use his weight in an argument about his managerial abilities?

It’s * dumb and says more about the people attacking him than it does the man himself.

Everybody must be super fit athletes on here though. Either that or the old saying ‘people in glass houses..’ springs to mind.

    I mean, he is overweight.

It says nothing about his managerial ability. Albeit, I do think that a manager who harps on about players getting fit and putting in the work should be leading by example, to an extent.

A manager who is overweight and drinks with his players, then moaning about players being unfit...it’s not a good look.

Don’t disagree with any of that.

Big leap from your post to “fat jakey *” though.

I've often been a bit overweight over the years, but I've never been so obese in my life as I am now with the stress of Covid restrictions the last 9 months. I'm like a balloon. That * Whitty announced that we may still have restrictions next winter and I found myself in the car park of Tesco on my way to buy some vegan sausages 5 minutes later. Luckily on this occasion I woke up to what I was doing before I got there, but I don't always.

I see Lenny's weight gain as Celtic manager as a sign of the stress he's under.

Arguing about personal insults aimed at Neil Lennon is as pointless as Neil Lennon’s league results against the Huns since September 2019.

Not that I agree with the insults but football is a job where it happens. If it’s not racial or religious then I’m afraid it’s generally accepted as normal. You think any of the highly paid players/managers would jump to defend you on an online forum if someone else offended you?

The talk is of him drinking with his players.

He was pictured with one beer sitting next to one player.

PR disaster? Absolutely. Grounds for calling him a jakey? Nah.

I have to disagree to a point. If anything Lennon looks a bit leaner now than he did at the start of the season. He is overweight sure but in no way fat or “morbidly obese” as one Mensa member referred to him as in here.

There ye are being a hypocrite again, riding on here on your white horse defending Lennon being called personal names and there you’ve just called me a personal name when i’ve said nothing personal against you.

I don’t really go in for the fat/jakey insults, but can kind of see where they come from. People are beyond annoyed or frustrated, and (accurately imo) look at Lennon as putting his personal interests above those of the club. Truth be told I don’t really go in with those type of insults for anyone, but I can’t say I see him as being any better that the likes of Lawwell or Rodgers for that matter. I have no issue saying I want Lennon to * off yesterday.

I hope my view of him softens over time but I’m not certain it will. I could take losing the 10c I really could. It’s much more difficult to accept losing it largely thanks to one mans stubborness though, both tactically and in terms of leaving the club.
