Don't know your circumstances Baldy, but even taking a walk in your local park or driving out into the country side you'll see plenty of wildlife, maybe even a bus or train ride down to the Ayrshire coast for a day out will get you plenty of wildlife sightings.:50:

I see all the seabirds and sometime those small birds that live in the hedgerows. I never see foxes, squirrels or deer so I guess we never get to see everything. The thing is until you go out there with a camera you don't really see nature. It's amazing how your whole perception of the world around you changes. I look out to the water on a lovely afternoon/evening and I'm taking in the the colours and the mood of the scene. Before I would have walked along remarking that it was a lovely day/night. Now I actually see it and it's like an epiphany of sorts.

You're right. I probably don't take the opportunity to actually take my time to see what's actually there. It's funny, but when I am abroad and feeling relaxed, I begin to notice things around me.

Yeah when you tune in to it you can even see bugs, butterflies and all the other buzzy things. You start to notice the different colours of things. When I went on holiday I was taking pictures of parakeets and wee lizards :56:You see photos in here of alsorts of bugs, fish and stuff that you wouldn't normally know anything about or notice. If you have a wee camera in your pocket you will always find an opportunity in the day to catch something. It doesn't have to be an expensive one as you pick up skills as you go without even being aware of it.
