11 in 23 according to that. Not the worst really. Any idea on assists?

When he's like that, I don't think any defence in Scotland can live with him. Please be the old Edouard for the remainder of the season. I think most of us are desperate for him to give us an excuse to forgive him.

Celtic will tell AC Milan to forget about getting their hands on Odsonne Edouard in the January sales as the Frenchman is priceless when it comes to the Premiership push.

The Serie A giants have stuck the striker on their transfer target short list – with a hitman a top priority given Zlatan Ibrahimovic’s injury problems this season.

Edouard has been flagged up following his impressive goal scoring display in Celtic’s 4-2 defeat at San Siro in the Europa League earlier this month on the back of a hot streak for France under 21s.

The £9m former PSG poacher is understood to be one of three main frontmen on Milan’s radar – along with Real Madrid’s Luca Jovic and Genoa’s Gianluca Scamacca, who is on loan at Sassuolo.

Celtic have held talks with Edouard and his representatives and there is an agreement to cash in before his contract expires in the summer of 2022.

Parkhead chiefs are hoping to bank more than £30m for the hitman – but they have made it clear there is no chance he will be heading out of the door in January with the club’s 10 in a row hopes hanging in the balance.

Should have been the kind of striker we reached a European final with, a tragedy he'll have come & gone with no European success memories past Christmas.

Dembele started that game & Eddy got the last 5 mins.

My overall point was that we didn't manage to progress past a single round in Europe after Christmas whilst Eddy was with us, which is a crying shame because we'll unlikely see a striker of his calibre again for some time.

His goal tally is actually OK but he hasn't been the same as last season and some penalties have show him in a better light than he is. If him and Griff can continue to play well we could still possibly see another 15 or more from him as we have a minimum of 22 more games.

Ffs how is winning the first leg of a knockout tie success if we don't get the job done overall after two legs to progress?

You have some pretty low ambitions/standards if that's success to you.

If we lose game on the 2nd then I think selling Edouard christie and ajer for £40-£50m, binning Lennon and rebuilding is the way forward. Saturday is a crossroads for us.

Again, you didn’t say that did you?
    Here’s what you said.
he'll have come & gone with no European success memories past Christmas.

But carry on trying to justify your wrong statement.

    I never mentioned my standards.

Success to me would be at least progressing past a round in Europe after Christmas? Not winning one leg & then capitulating in the other.
