He’d have been * in this team too. It’s the same as saying “should’ve went all out for McGinn” because he’s been great down south, when everyone knows that McGinn was going to come in to play second fiddle to Brown (A guy who he is 2 times the footballer of). Ifs and buts.

I thought he looked committed when he came on and seemed to be working hard and trying to make things happen which I can't fault much better than the last few games he's played.

He needs to knock the mad diving on the head that was embarrassing. I thought he had been assaulted then you see the replay :31:

I can't tell if he's still majorly unfit or just painfully slow - or both.

Not wanting to write him off because barely anyone has pass marks this season. But he's now been here for close to 4 months and I feel like he's done nothing since his first few appearances where everything he touched went in the back of the net.

For £5 million, I was expecting to see more by now.

So far he's been like a * Gary Hooper. Not gonna completely write him off, but I have a feeling we majorly * it by going for him instead of Toney.

He injured or just deemed not good enough to even make the bench yesterday?

I have a feeling and this is just a feeling, but I reckon he's pretty huffy behind the scene's..

Does it a lot when subbed or he doesn't get a pass etc..

Don't mind a bit of fire but can see him being pretty argumentative..

I wouldn't be surprised if he's been dropped here or there because of it already..

I really like him as well. Should get a run soon..

All day. Toney is a young athletic guy scoring goals for fun while Ajeti is....... neither of these

He's an excellent finisher but not sure he's good enough to play up top by himself.

He did it for Basel with ease a few seasons back.

I think under a coach with a real focus on fitness he will be absolutely fine for us. Infact I think he'll be a revelation.

Give him the chances Eddie has had in the last few games and he would've bagged 4+ goals easy.

What he is reliant on is service from the wide areas and link up with the 10, I think we were doing that pathetically earlier on in the season but if we can get Laxalt, Moi on 1 wing, Ajer/Frimpong, Forrest on the other and Turnbull in behind he'll do much better IMO

We are not playing to his strengths, just don’t see him working out for us, especially under Lennon.

Don’t see him ever being good enough for us no matter who is the manager.

He can’t run and his all round play is nowhere near good enough.

Jury still out for sure, but his first few games where he was visibly not match sharp showed me enough that there is a player there that needs coached.

The fitness and coaching with us is absolutely shocking, the choppig and changing of strikers is as bad as the keeper situation and no one is being played properly with real support for each other.

Ajeti and barkas have both not done much wrong at all, not done enough to wow us either, but they aren't * players - they are(for me) the definition of players who need a different manager.

Guys done very little so far,can only guess hes not doing it in training, but then again under lenny any player will struggle to be motivated.

Plenty were motivated yesterday. I'm fed up people constantly blaming the manager for all the negatives we have currently. Some players need to step up themselves

He absolutely can. He joined our squad 2 months after our pre-season and he has never really caught up, I put that in part down to the coaching.

A glance at his highlights from Basel show that he is no slouch (no moreso than the likes of Hooper)

Where he excels is assuming positions in the penalty box where the ball will break. He's the quintessential predatory striker and the management have utilised him horrifically this season.

The ball that Christie played along the box early doors yesterday and Eddie is standing making no effort to move to it, was a perfect example of when Ajeti would be on his toes and gambling on the near post ball.

In Scotland against packed, deep-lying defences he is exactly the type of guy we need as our focal point when the ball is being played in; not an Eddie who is rarely playing on the shoulder.

For me, I think he's more than good enough for us, he showed it whilst he was completely unfit, and I thought he was excellent away to Lille and home to Milan, albeit not scoring in the latter two. IMO the way we currently play, the only striker I think that fits on would be Griffiths, and Lennon doesn't seem to really get on with Griffiths.

I know there's people saying we should have went for Toney, but let's be honest here, under Lennon he'd also have looked pish, the majority of our problems this season lie squarely with the manager, give or take Christie and Edouard clearly angling for a move alongside that.

As for Ajeti, be it under a new manager or whenever else, he'll come good, I hope it's soon so we don't need to worry about who plays first choice for us up front.

Yet he won’t be half the player Eddie is and won’t ever lead a team to the success Eddie has.

Mental statement considering Ajeti has done absolutely nothing for us and Eddie has been one of our most important players in a world record breaking team.

Agreed some players need to step up or be dropped, but there lies the problem.

Under lenny it seems no matter how bad some are they get their game(Brown, Eddie)and no matter how good some are (griff, soro, turnbell)they struggle to make it.So wheres the motivation for any of these players.

Imo competition for places is key to a hungry and energetic team, players with a hunger to keep their place or earn a place will be more competitive on the pitch which results in the team being more successful and all thats down to the manager.
