    David Turnbull is finally starting to show his potential with Celtic , but it's a move that's been three years in the making.

    The former midfielder joined the Parkhead side in the summer after a horror knee injury scuppered the first attempt 12 months prior.

    Hibs U20s completed a league and cup double back in 2017/18 and faced Motherwell on the final day of the season.

    Lennon watched on as the Hibs kids claimed the league title, but it was Turnbull’s performance for the Steelmen that caught his eye.

    He immediately asked then Well U20s coach Stephen Craigan who his number eight was and his interest in the midfielder never waned since that day.

    Just makes it more baffling he shunned him for so long, considering he WAS match fit after starting the first 6 games for Motherwell this season.
