People would seriously keep him in the team after that performance?

Pathetic for the second and third goals. Almost gifted them one early on when he came rushing out then stopped. Fumbled a simple catch in the first half that we thankfully cleared.

If Barkas had put in a performance like that I dread to think what people would be saying.

That wasn't as simple a catch as it appeared, he was expecting Naismith to get a touch on the ball so had to make himself as big as possible to block it. Naismith missed it though and it came straight through, leaving him little time to react.

And he made an * of it. He never looked convincing at anything he did all game.

I disagree. Hazard made a couple of mistakes today but he also made a couple of big saves and won us the game on penalties. I repeat, I have yet to witness Barkas make a decent save for us and Bain has cost us too many times to count. I’ll never forgive him for that calamity against Cluj at Parkhead.

    Lucky, lucky boy.
That 3rd goal he never raised his hands past his shoulders, jumped with his head turned.

I like the kid, theres potential, excellent shootout saves, but Barkus should be our man.

If we’d lost that final nobody here would want him to play again.

Just because he saved a couple of pens hasn’t clouded my view.

Barkas or Bain should be ahead of him now.

To be fair I wouldn’t be averse to seeing if Barkas can finally find something resembling form if given another chance but Bain can get to *. He’s barely 6 foot and a * keeper to boot.

Didn’t look confident all game. But 2 terrific pen saves to win it.

    He can learn elsewhere.

He’s nowhere near good enough to be our goalkeeper.

You expect the finished article from someone that has played 3 competitive first team games for us? As I said before I'd give him a chance to see if he learns from those mistakes and doesn't make them again. If he does learn then that's all you can ask. Our other keepers have been making the same mistakes over and over. I know who I would take the chance on.

I have nothing bad to say about him. Not his fault he is in this position, previous 2 games he had a different team in front of him with something to prove. Defo not 1st choice and I think he'd say the same but at the end of the day he's going to take that chance that's been put upon him.

They didn't make a deal of it, but he was fouled at their second goal. He was all over the place for the rest of the game.

The penalty saves will help save some confidence, but he's nowhere near ready to be the number 1.

He made one mistake for the 3rd goal. The 2nd goal he was obviously fouled even if none of the pundits bothered to mention it. He saved from the guy right through that would he have put us 3-2 down. Saved 2 pens. All in all, not bad. At the age he is I still think he has good potential. Our tactics are * and that's what's putting all the players under pressure including the keepers.

Our best keeper is on loan at Ross County.
