Think we need a new head of recruitment as the money that's been wasted is criminal and wouldn't trust Hammond bringing in any new players in January .
But we need replacements and whoever leaves they will need replaced and a goalkeeper needs to be brought in to be the number one with hazard as backup and punt the * other two .

We are in a difficult position with regards to the January window. We clearly need to strengthen our team to help with turning the league around and we need to start the rebuild job for next season as soon as possible.

However, with the managers future unclear, how can we buy players when the style of football and system that we place might change in the near future. Also, are players willing to sign when a new manager could come in shortly and not fancy them?

That's why keeping Lennon on was madness and if they know who they want as manager and is available make the change after the zombie game .

I get what you’re saying and I don’t disagree but I don’t think recruitment is solely the problem - we were all saying what an amazing window it was in the summer, one of the best in years. Whether it was Lennon that couldn’t get the best out of them, or whether there was some kind of miscommunication higher up and we brought in players that Lennon didn’t want, is anyone’s guess. I do think we have suffered from a lack of true leadership from the board this season though and I think that’s manifested in more ways than one.

I'm not so sure mate. I saw him play for Arsenal under 21's and he was struggling. We need some experienced players who are on top of their game right now not more 'potential'.

We need more than 1 CB, and while I completely agree that an experienced, intelligent CB is a must, Saliba will add numbers.

He’s very good. A bad game for the unders doesn’t make you a bad player.

I don't think it has been just one game though. Couldn't say myself but the scuttlebug is he's not been very impressive.

Big fraser and a rw, zinckernagel, roberts the lad from qpr, take your pick.
Another rb and cb too, perhaps a striker.

By this stage, we should absolutely know if that’s something we can do or not. If it’s something that can get dragged into him coming in last minute of the transfer window that’s too late.

Forster won't come as that would mean 2 of their 3 senior keepers on loan.

I’d like MacKenzie in he’s apparently said he’d be open to it again, I’d take Roberts since we have no depth out wide, Forster seems to be a no brainer.

With Brexit coming into effect, and us apparently focusing our transfers more on England this window then I wouldn’t be surprised if we try get Ben Davies and Osayi-Samuel wrapped up on Bosman’s pretty quickly and then try work out deals to bring them in cheap.

Said it in another thread but Folarin Balogun should be someone we’re going after. Could have a Dembele type effect here.

    Which one....

All jokes aside, it only dawned on me the other day this is going to kick in this window and * knows how it's really going to affect us.

English market is massively over inflated as it is, add in to the bargain a lot of English teams are going to be looking at home when more than normal now as well.

Posted an article from The Athletic yesterday.

England’s biggets clubs and agencies are already setting up scouting networks up here because of it.

It might interest you that you might have a chance on Tore Reginiussen on a free transfer this window - I know he's a hero of yours, and rightly so :). The contract with Rosenborg will not be extended, and I can only figure its mostly for economic and "the long view" reasons.

Matty Ryan on the outer at Brighton.

Could be an option on a 6 month loan in Jan possibly into a full time deal?
