Sorry, I got you mixed up with Raoul Duke. The point was taking something someone else said to its logical conclusion: I was told to stop living in the past as some kind of blanket ban.

Now if you agree that my point about Stein, etc is nonsense, then presumably you agree that the post I was replying to was nonsense, since (I repeat) all I was doing was taking it to its logical conclusion.

Ntcham has earned * all. He shouldn't wear the jersey ever again.

I don't think he sees it as sentiment. I think he sees it as good man management to give players what he thinks they have earned.

    What they have earned?

I would say that Turnbull and Soro playing very well the last two games and being a massive part in us winning 2 consecutive matches for the first time in months has earned them a start in a cup final.

Brown, based on his form this season, hasn’t earned that chance. He’s been one of the main factors in us being so * this season.

Delighted to be back to winning ways in the last 2 games and long may it continue.

Squad being utilised much better and players starting to find a bit of form.

I’m firmly behind the team. I do still want to see Lennon go at some point but not to the detriment of our results.

I know that, but this is last season's cup. He was a big part of a very, very successful season.

That shouldn’t make the slightest difference.

You play the players who are in form. Dropping Turnbull and/or Soro would be sentimental bollocks and would be taking a massive, and needless, risk.

I'd prefer we continue with Turnbull and Soro. If he sees fit to play Brown alongside Turnbull i can deal with that but if he goes back to Brown and Ntcham, it will be a slog again and progress will be halted.

You take a risk either way. If you don't play him and Christie, you risk morale taking a blow if players perceive they're not getting chances that they have earned.

I like to see us striking a balance between loyalty and fairness on the one hand and pragmatism on the other. If winning doesn't matter, I'd be as well packing watching football in; if it becomes the only thing that matters, I'd be as well supporting Bayern.

Give Broony and Christie the cup final they earned and pick the league team based on this season's form. It just seems fair to me.

It might be last seasons competition but it’s a huge part of the momentum we are trying to build to save the current season.

Pick the best team. All going well you can give run outs to the likes of Brown when you are winning comfortably!

I hate to sound like a broken record, but Ntcham has earned nothing, why would he pick Ntcham? Even Eddy, for all that he also earned this last year, I think his shocking attitude this season completely erases any need for loyalty on our part.

But Broony and Christie are victims of age and poor form respectively. No one can doubt their effort and they did earn this (last season).

I get that and it's a fair point. If Lenny chooses to go down that route, I understand that too. I think both positions have something to them and I'll support him whichever he chooses. Based on his comments, I just think he will give it to Broony and Christie.

To be clear to some people: I won't support him if he goes back to the old guard for the next league game.

Surely Brown will be selfless enough to put the team before himself? If he's the true captain we all think he is then he'll tell Lenny to not be daft & play the same MF who have won the last two games after a very rough spell to put it mildly.

If that doesn't happen, then he's not a team player & is all about himself, which would be extremely disappointing.

I have no idea why he'd pick Ntcham, but he has done in the not so distant past, so I'd say he's unfortunately probably considered as a possible option for upcoming games.

If he picks Ntcham for this, I'll be really surprised and quite unhappy.

    What you mean wit?

So you don't think Brown should be telling Lenny to keep Soro in the team ahead of him on Sunday for the good of the team?

If he goes down the old guard route for the Final and we win, does that mean he will pick those players again for the next league game? If so, what does that mean for the ones who get dropped?

Soro and McGregor look solid together and are already building an understanding. They are the future of our midfield.
