No * will work with him because he won’t work with them. He wants someone he can control and won’t give him grief.

Punt Lawwell and get someone who genuinely wants the club to succeed.

Town boss Paul Lambert is being linked with the manager’s job at Celtic with current incumbent Neil Lennon coming under increasing pressure.


Lennon has tonight received a vote of confidence from the Parkhead board with his side sitting second in the Scottish Premiership, 13 points behind Rangers, although with two games in hand.

According to 90 Min the Bhoys are weighing-up whether to make a move for Lambert should they decide to jettison Lennon.

Lambert played for Celtic between 1997 and 2005, during which time he won four league titles among other trophies.


The Scottish champions have also been linked with a number of other managers including former boss Martin O’Neill, Eddie Howe and Gordon Strachan with Lambert currently well down the betting at 20/1 with the bookies.

Lets call in the graveyard shift,Jim Jeffries as manager, Jim Leishman as assistant and Mark Mcghee as head coach these guys have over 80 years of managerial experience beetween them and know scottish football inside out. could also get jim lieghton in as goalkeeping coach if theys guys cant sort it no one can.

Just mentioned him the other day. This is the way I'd like to see us go. A promising manager who can make his name here.

 

Says in that article he's linked with Feyenoord, Ajax and the Netherlands jobs. Would take a lot to persuade a Dutch guy being linked with those jobs to come to Celtic. Also not guaranteed to be successful - he failed to get AZ into the CL and they drew their first 5 league games this season - would have been calling for NL's head earlier if he'd started like that here.

 

All I want for Xmas is a new manager and new CEO

Wasn’t long ago Lambert said he wouldn’t manage Celtic cause its like a goldfish bowl up here, don’t want him anyway he’s bang average.

Need to look at a foreign coach I think with someone like Petrov or Maloney in as assistant. Look at what Hassenhuttl has done with Southampton, plenty promising managers from Germany, Austria and Holland we should be looking at.

 

Maloney has one of the best jobs in football right now. He’ll be nowhere near the club any time soon

 

Would agree with the foreign approach, could you imagine Lambert trying to motivate the team ? I would imagine his mumbling team talks would send you to sleep.

 

Hate this foreign good, Scottish/British bad attitude. Just doesn't make sense. Are you saying Scottish/British managers/coaches
are too stupid to understand tactics. Wasn't too long ago nearly half the managers in EPL were Scottish.

 

I just can't see anyone Scottish or British who is good enough, its not to with their nationality, its just that there aren't any available.
