The Robson Hartley CM combo almost certainly won us the league that year. They were outstanding in that seven game winning streak, including both games against the Huns, who incidentally had beaten us on the four previous occasions.

However it was a change forced on Strachan after Brown picked up a three match suspension.

Strachan was notoriously visionless. Lennon is similar in that regard.

It needs to be recognised though, Lawell has done this before.

Whether people have affection towards him or not, Ronny Deila and the signings made in that era held us back years and we began to regress as a team.

    Tony mowbray as well.

The decisions not to appropriately back Lennon in his first spell and then Rodgers, is again down to Lawell and his management of budget.

Part of me is wondering if the board are sitting tight waiting on Lennon to leave, and if he is refusing to walk, because he knows that if he is pushed he will go out the door with a full wallet.
If Lennon supposedly wasnt getting his men/players etc with Lawell, it would be an interesting stand off.

Im at a stage where the sight of him and the thought of his lucrative contract and heated drive way infuriates me.

lets be honest it dont work like that,we have pocketed millions from European football over the years and look what we have managing us.

Do you really think thats all we could afford?the same man who managed hibs, course not we had/have the money to spend on a decent manager the club just refuse to invest the cash in quality.

And the same logic applies to players,so as far as im concerned thats it from ...no more money from me.

I think it’s becoming clear to everyone the notion that, ‘No good manager will touch us’, is a myth perpetrated by Lawwell.

He wants managers he can control. He wants someone who can’t believe their luck that we’ve hired them. His last 3 appointments have been Lennon (first job), Deila (second job, hired from equivalent of St. Mirren) and Lennon (sacked by Hibs, no job prospects).

If we replace Lawwell with a CEO that genuinely wants the company (and I do mean to say company) to do well and not just himself, we would get a good manager and be more successful.

    Lawwell prioritises himself over Celtic.

No good manager wants to work under the oppressive control of PL.

Imagine in the interviews PL "I'll provide you with a coaching team, you tell me the position that needs filled in the team and I'll provide you with the suitable player within my budget" Any decent manager "No thanks".

Even Rodgers was attainable when he was hired, because at the time his career was seen to be on a downward trajectory after the way it ended at Liverpool.

This is why I despise bonus structure by the way not for the players but hierarchy because it causes a conflict of interest that can affect other parts of a company

I think the focus should now be firmly on the Board, the negligence being shown here is astonishing, to allow this to continue is criminal.

After today on twitter and the podcasts I'm fairly confident this is now the case.

It doesn't excuse Lennon, he's still useless and needs out the club 8 weeks ago, but the board have sat by and now doubled down on their gamble while insulting the fans, taking us for mugs and telt us to shut up. They've managed to twist this on to themselves fairly quickly.

Board will be chased to the point they hopefully are replaced.

The irony of this whole bullshit is that I expect a bit of an up in performance purely down to the fact the players now know Lennon won't be sacked in 2020..

There is a parody account that is made to look very similar to the official Superscoreboard account. It posts * for a "laugh". Lennon being sacked has been done a few times lately.

There is a Celtic one too which if you aren't careful will also trip you up.

When Lennon was given the job after the cup final I found out on Twitter. At first I assumed it was one of those fake Celtic accounts... was devastated when it was true.
