I agree with you mate, that’s not the point. No matter what, you will be hard pushed to find a lower figure in our club’s history than the individual you grouped Lennon and Rodgers with. Lennon might be mugging us off big time here and I am enraged by it, as I was when I woke up to Rodgers having been unveiled at Leicester and possibly jeopardising our season a couple of years back, but neither of those two men committed the single most heinous thing you could ever do as a Celt. The other person did just that, and left a wound that pained the club for the majority of the next decade.

He's genuinely turned into a parody this season with embarrassing comments like that, it's nowhere near the worst as well.

Comparing someone who is failing while doing their best, after a previous history of success (hand in last 2 trebles hopefully!) and someone who literally took the silver from our worst enemies, publicly humiliating us in the process, is way off mate. Lenny's * the pooch really bad right now, but do you really think he's doing it on purpose?

Rodgers left us in the middle of a title race and then tried to gut our entire backroom staff. Let's not make up lies now.

If 2020 was a fkn manager...

Probably easier to rid the planet of covid than it is for us to get rid of Lennon...

He is definitely not doing it on purpose but the absolute sh1te he has been saying after matches is alarming. Either he cannot see the truth of the performances or he is outright lying to the fans when summing up those matches.

No matter which way you look at it, it's a big problem. Craigan called it during the county defeat, said exactly what our problem was and why we were failing. If he can see it then why cant the manager.

Maybe he needs to stand nearer the pitch instead of being sat on his * in the dugout looking clueless.

There is no one I would rather see winning 10IAR than Lenny but that is not going to happen... he just hasnt got it in him.

If he doesnt realise he has lost the support of the vast majority of fans then he isnt paying attention. And if he does realise it then why not respect our wishes and do the right thing.. the worst run of games in over 60 years and no sign of any improvement.

I would like him replaced but until there is a suitable candidate then we are stuck with him and his lack of vision.

No need to wait for a candidate before sacking him, John Kennedy being temporarily in charge until we find a decent manager to take over, would be better than letting him continue, let's face it our performances aren't going to change regardless of whether he is sacked now or later

Celtic supremo Dermot Desmond has chosen not to axe Neil Lennon because he was so disgusted by the baying mob calling for the manager’s head after Sunday’s defeat to Ross County.

Record Sport understands the club’s majority shareholder is ready to stand shoulder to shoulder with Lennon for the time being and offer him a last chance to turn the club’s season around, starting on Thursday night at the San Siro.

Sources close to the Irish tycoon have revealed Desmond was outraged by the violent protest which saw fans clash with police following the Betfred Cup collapse.

Lennon and his players needed to be given an escort by cops to get away from the stadium safely and will give his countryman one last chance to save his job at the San Siro because angry fans had gathered in thge carpark, ignoring Glasgow’s level 4 Covid restrictions to hurl abuse at the nine in a row champions

And those shameful scenes helped convince Desmond to double down on his decision not to bring Lennon’s second stint in charge to an end.

Our source said: “Dermot Desmond is simply not the kind of man who will be dictated to by a hate mob - if anything what went on after the game on Sunday has strengthened his resolve to give Neil another chance to turn things around.

“It’s obviously been a terrible run of results for the manager but last Friday, despite the Europa League defeat against Sparta Prague, Dermot was absolutely unequivocal in his support for Neil. Yes, the defeat to Ross County was a bad one but the reaction to it was even more unacceptable as far as Dermot is concerned.

Neil knows he can’t go on losing games indefinitely but he will also not be thrown to the wolves just because of the demands of a bunch of fans with an enormous sense of entitlement.

Lennon was back at Lennoxtown on Monday taking training as his team prepares for a dead-rubber Europa League clash with AC Milan in Italy.

If he can avoid another humiliating result on Thursday night then the Northern Irishman could still be clinging onto the job by the time Celtic face St Johnstone in the league on Sunday.

Cannae believe we are waking up to this. Staggering. So typical of them to not have seen the writing on the wall and had potential candidates sounded out and waiting. He should have been sacked weeks ago.
