I’m sure it’s just a contract that doesn’t need to be re-negotiated when it runs out, unless one or more parties decide they want to end it or something like that.

    * knows I always just thought unless there was a mutual agreement to terminate the contract it meant the pay up was maximum 1 year

Well if that’s the case then what’s the point in so-called “gardening leave” - is it no just simpler paying off?

Players are * scumbag * for doing this. They know what this season means to the fans and couldn't give a toss.

Means basically every day he wakes up he’s got a year left on his deal.

I met him on the offshore survival training. He told everyone at the introductions bit at the start.

Seemingly Petrescu was in talks to terminate his contract and he's come to an agreement with Cluj.

Maybe making more of this than there is but I wonder if moves have been happening behind the scenes recently and we are lining him up to replace Lennon, maybe that's why Lennon wasn't thrown out on his * today, the board waiting for Petrescu to settle with Cluj?

I wouldn't mind giving him a go, he got Cluj good enough to beat us and they've done quite well in Europe, he's certainly a passionate guy and that would make a nice change on the bench.

Lads this is a * shambles. Absolute joke of a situation. They shouldn't even be second guessing. Lennon should be well gone at this stage. Absolute joke.

Saves paying out a lump sum. There is also the possibility that, in this case, Lenny is offered a new job so he would need to resign and that means we wouldn't need to keep paying him. (Lenny's contract is rolling every day).
This was the case with BR at scousepool, although he had a fixed term I believe, til DD paid him what he was going to miss out on (allegedly).

Doesn’t work like that every day he wakes up he is on a years contract to get rid of him.
