In all seriousness though, I’m no contractual expert, but surely if he is one a one-year rolling contract then he’s already almost halfway (or thereabouts) into his contract for this year, so he’d only be due payout on half of it?

I can't believe they would be that daft, but then this is the same mob that sat down with Kevin Kyle and asked how much he wanted and offered it to him straight away.

Heard many a confirmation he went in to that conversation and said £4k a week to them and they just agreed, he thought they'd negotiate down to a grand a week.

They throw money at it. But I still can't believe slippy is on 2million. Madness

The very sad part of all this implosion and covid is ,the players really believe the fans not present at games is the biggest issue with this complete turnaround ,so the fans responded to their call after the rc game to let the players know we miss them too .

Kyle stated it himself on one of those Si Ferry podcasts.

can’t mind the actual amount but I’m sure it was substantially more than £4K a week

Well I thought that Damian when I first heard I was like this guy has not achieved anything in management yet and they are giving nearly the salary Brendan Rodgers and Martin O’Neil had

I’m sure it’s just a contract that doesn’t need to be re-negotiated when it runs out, unless one or more parties decide they want to end it or something like that.

    * knows I always just thought unless there was a mutual agreement to terminate the contract it meant the pay up was maximum 1 year

Well if that’s the case then what’s the point in so-called “gardening leave” - is it no just simpler paying off?

Players are * scumbag * for doing this. They know what this season means to the fans and couldn't give a toss.

I met him on the offshore survival training. He told everyone at the introductions bit at the start.

Seemingly Petrescu was in talks to terminate his contract and he's come to an agreement with Cluj.

Maybe making more of this than there is but I wonder if moves have been happening behind the scenes recently and we are lining him up to replace Lennon, maybe that's why Lennon wasn't thrown out on his * today, the board waiting for Petrescu to settle with Cluj?

I wouldn't mind giving him a go, he got Cluj good enough to beat us and they've done quite well in Europe, he's certainly a passionate guy and that would make a nice change on the bench.
