I've got to agree with every bit of this we should be completely dominant in Scotland but we have been mismanaged at boardroom level for too long.

    https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...y-celtic-domestic-dominance-scottish-football

The "glaring waste of resources" line is spot on. We have made so much money but wasted most of it on failed projects that PL has sanctioned without taking into account massive weaknesses in our defence etc.

The manager should always be the guy in control of the football side not some fat cat chairman gambling with the club's resources.

In fairness, how does uttering the word “Rangers” make you an “anti-Celtic *” fs...

It will be immense.... merchandise, dvds , special edition kits, etc etc.... it would run and sell for years...

The ‘board’ being so money oriented and revenue conscious will be more than aware of this. You’d have to think that they seriously thought/think that Lenny is the better option as opposed to offloading and bringing in a competent and safe pair of hands.

I've said it on here years ago. So frustating. One of the reasons i gave up my ST years ago was because of the short-sightedness of the board. Listen i get we're a business and have shareholders to keep happy but i don't believe most of the support were looking for too much. MON called it years ago when he said he had taken us as far he could. I know we need to watch the pennies but we've done it to an extent we've cost oursleves big time by not pushing the boat out that wee bit at the right time. Look at Fletcher that January years and the amount of times we've fannied about during windows and costing us CL groups. That's not to even mention Mcginn. I'll grant you they got the rat but i think that relationship hit rocky ground fairly early. And then when we have spent big, for us, we've spunked nearly all of it on a lot of garbage. We could have buried these *, made a lot more dosh with CL groups and have a healthier bank balance into the bargain.

    Rant over. My tuppence. :67:

Much of that article is nonsense in defence of Neil Lennon's work, and in the parts that are accurate (about boardroom negligence) he just repeats what has been said countless times on this forum by myself and many others.

So he can take his superior attitude to "keyboard warriors and football manager obsessives" and ram it up his *.

The panic happened when he was given the job after the final in a shower. That was a panic move, so the board could find a manger for the long term or had they already had someone in mind and it all fell thro.

Work's been a good distraction today. Only slightly surprised he's not gone. Really quite down about how this is playing out. Would love if it had worked out for Lennon.

I wouldn’t quite call it panic stations just yet. He’s done well in adversity before mind! Something inside so strong! HH

Can’t believe he’s still here man.

Board clearly just not wanting to be seen to be bowing to fan pressure.

    - 2 wins in 10.
    - Out the CL to a half fit Ferencvaros due to not playing a striker and being reactive rather than proactive in his use of subs.
    - Zero shots at home to the Huns.
    - Out the EL with 2 games to spare after being hammered 8-2 by Sparta A and B teams.
    - Cup run ended at home to Ross County.
    - £35m spent since he’s been here and we’re now worse off for it.
    - Players all regressing under him.

Hopefully we’re just keeping him in charge temporarily until we finalise talks with another manager and that he’ll be gone later in the week regardless of the result vs Milan. Probably not though.
