I'm assuming the other part of the banner was left at home regarding the players downing tools and * up the basics? Or is this ALL Lennons fault?

Only criticism from me is that it should have come earlier in the week

Doing it after the club have backed him looks a bit *

Very few fans would argue with the statement or the banner tbh.

Must be heartbreaking for Lenny and I genuinely feel for him, but has to be done he's getting about 50% out of a class squad.

    The statement mentions 'players disappointing'.

When an entire team of players are devoid of confidence and making mistakes, it's a systematic failure that that reverts to the manager

Maybe they were expecting some action by the club, backing him when they should have sacked him must have been a bit of a catalyst.

I will always love Lennon, but the buck needs to stop with the Manager hes in charge of the squad and responsible for the tactics and football being played , if the players have downed tools(which agree would be wrong) the Manager needs to take responsibility for that as will have stemmed from his actions

Do you honestly believe the banner will any way shape or form change the boards stance ? They clearly know the feeling amongst the support that's why they are drip feeding the stories about him being backed

There has to be opposite to create a balanced view ,if everyone just agrees its the manager with no counter argument then you don't get to the crux .

Not going to profess to be mind-reading the GB here but I think the reason it's been delayed is possibly that they gave the club the benefit of the doubt to do the right thing.

Now that they've failed to do it, it's forced them into action.

No amount of Mjallby, O'Neill, Sutton comments are going to placate fans. We're not mugs....do the right thing fs.

I feel bad too. Wish it didn't have to come to this. He has been very unlucky with a fair few things, Bolingoli, covid cases and injuries- I would even say in I individual games there have been times when on another day we score at least a few of squandered chances. All that doesn't explain the total lack of drive/fight in our players though.

Back to the personal abuse - at least you're consistent on that unlike your views on Neil Lennon.

An even more depressing thought is that we have the type of board that would be inclined not to sack Lennon cause he’s a focal point of our new fancy Christmas advert.

It might not but it's another reminder of the strength of feeling.

If they fail to take the decision that the vast majority of the support want to be taken, then it could be the hill that they die on.

Why would or should he walk away from a pay off knowing he will never get a job like this again ?

I agree with the sentiment of the banner but I just feel you light a fire with the banner then blow it out with the statement
