Maliciously greedy is the right description. They hold on to their piles of cash while the footballing success of Celtic is at stake.

I don’t think they have anyone. If they were making a proactive move you would remove Lennon on Monday, appoint the new man today and let him watch the team on Thursday and get ready for the weekend.

Sacking him after a drubbing on Thursday wouldn’t be good timing and he is likely to win most of the next domestic games so it’s difficult to sack him on a win.

Club’s a mess from top to bottom.

If anyone thinks this same board who tossed multiple big name applicants’ CVs in the bin before they gave Lenny the job in 2019 have so much as pondered getting a replacement lined up or some sort of contingency plan sorted, they are sorely mistaken unfortunately :(

The first of many no doubt to come out and speak on his behalf.

Lot of respect for Martin O'Neil and what he done. However, COVID isn't exclusive to Celtic. Aberdeen have recovered from their own faux pas.

We have been abject in Europe. Numerous late winners against opponents that the Huns have seen off comfortably. And little sign of much change or progress in addressing the issues we have.

And we shouldn't be settling for "keeping in touch" or "only 5 points behind" either.

And that goes for the next former teammate or anyone else Lawwell has lined to voice the same thoughts in the coming days

He has not been consistent - he was one of the ones on here who personally abused anyone who questioned Lennon's abilities. I have frequently criticised Lennon on here but purely professionally - I've never referenced his appearance or any of the other nonsense that you occasionally see on here. This poster responded more than once with personal abuse - just shows the level of his debating "skills".

I agree with Thailand Celtic - I don't give a **** what he thinks. He has changed his tune on Lennon (coming to the position that I and others have been putting forward for quite some time) and hoping that those he abused won't notice this change.

You cant really say that,9 years top of the pile, spent big money on br THE RAT...MON also got huge money for players and this window past we spent 15 million.
We may be in a * place just now but its not due to lack of funds.

Lennon and his current backroom staff are clearly doing more harm than good. It is imperative that they are removed immediately.

If we need someone to take charge for a couple of weeks, and no more, while we prepare a permanent appointment, we could maybe even give Damian Duff a call. I doubt that he would do any worse than the current set-up.

It had been apparent for much of this season that we are a sinking ship.

We should always have contingencies in place in any case. Losing a manager is no different to losing a player in that regard.
