Thats a pretty unfounded accusation. He was found of no wrongdoing and the coaches who were present at the player meeting defended him.
It was his legal team that won the battle with Dempster and he received a full payoff of his contract and some for his silence.

At the end of the day, to create a winning environment you have to be ruthless.
Winners dont like to lose. You can use terms like toxic, but some players cant survive in the high pressure environment.
Many might have said that the group of players like Larsson, Sutton, Hartson, Petrov created a toxic environment. The reality was it was win at all costs and they were at each other even at training.

Kamberi showed his true colours. His form had dropped dramatically from the standard he set himself. He wont ever realise his potential because he never had the character.

"It's time to back the manager."

No, it's time to sack the manager. The time for 'keeping the faith' has come and gone.

Hibs went on a bad run and were drawing a lot of games that they should have been winning the exact same thing is happening this season with us

The Board have said he is staying so why continue the negativity? We need to unfortunately accept it and move on and hope they prove us all wrong.

If the players truly have given up on him and want him out, they will more than likely throw the next game.

Lennon and the board can hide from social media and the fans all they want, but the players are all over it.
They know the feeling and they know how they are feeling.

IF they have stopped playing for him, won't be surprised to see them chuck the next game (Sparta and even county) just to oust him.

I think we're already at that point tbh

People I speak to now that live and breathe Celtic are apathetic, not tuning into our games or not bothering talking about us.

At least with someone that's angry they're engaged and passionate; with someone that's apathetic you're in danger of losing them.

The more this drags on the deeper the disunity will go, which is brilliant for our rivals and terrible for us.

We pay good money for our leaders to foresee and take action before situations get to this point, yet here we are...

Thats true, not questioning that. What that doesnt tell you tho, is that they lost mcginn and mcgeouch, two players who were in or nominated for the spl team of the season from the previous year and lost Boyle, arguable their best player since, to a long term injury. Barker also wen back to his parent club and his replacement winger was out long term and hardly featured.

And it got worse after his successor was appointed.

My point was that there was a notion that he created a “toxic” environment, where as id say he created an environment where sub standard wasnt acceptable. Maybe his downfall was believing that the group of players should have been as that of the group from the season before.

I think it’s just that EVERYBODY knows THAT will simply not happen as long as DD is majority shareholder.... so why shout about it?

His blame in this... is for making the job permanent after his wee three-way conflab after the cup final. He’s backed Lenny well with transfer spends recently..

Lawwell and DD do though... have the power to fix the situation.

Yeah I’m talking about purely in a media sense here. I would prefer to see him sacked immediately, and would’ve done so weeks ago myself, but I’m not expecting the board to come out and give him anything other than complete backing publicly, up until the (somewhat inevitable) sacking.

Because nothing is going to change under lennon,he has been flogging the dead horse all season and its not for getting up.
Same players in team regardless of form or result, The minute Griff is on the pitch we look a better threat yet 13 games into the season we are still playing one striker up front who can't play that role or the other striker who tried to get past 5 defenders and loses the ball.
Duffy cost us a goal a game for 6 or 7 games and he was still picked to play, because he has toothache.
Duffy unfit, players want to leave, players are lazy, players are tired......we have the best squad in the country.....but * making changes.
The guy has had years are years of support but there comes a time when its not working we have to admit it.

I think you're probably right tbh, which is s sad state of affairs that the board need their feet to be held to the fire before they'll take action.

We deserve better than we're getting, on and off the park

Football and football players have moved on since the early 2000s mate. Yes players maybe aren’t as gritty as they were in the past, but that’s how they’ve been socialised, it’s not their fault if Lennon is unwilling to cater to them when they hold all the cards. He’s doing exactly what he done at Hibs, the only difference is that Hibs’ (a club who can afford an underwhelming season without it causes an absolute crisis) board took action and showed him the door, something our * board won’t even ponder until we’re about 20 points behind with no games in hand and players like Christie and Eddy have been allowed to take the * and leave in January and the whole dressing room is at odds with each other.

Aye, there's no other public comment that they can feasibly make though?

They can hardly come out and say 'he's on a sticky wicket, we'll see how Thursday goes"

The only message people want to hear is that Lennon has been relieved of duties and we're looking at a replacement; anything else - said or unsaid - is implicit approval for continuatuon of the situation that the overwhelming majority of supporters are unhappy with.

That’s basically my point. In the post previous to my original comment there was talk of how the board would ‘stand by’ the manager.

That’s basically the only comment they would ever be likely to make regarding the manager when he’s still in the dugout.

Do I wish they would’ve sacked him already? Yes.
Do I hope they’re actively looking for replacements? Yes.
Do I expect them to come out with something like ‘we back him....but his jacket is on a wobbbly peg and if he loses again...’. No.

Lawell has been in charge for over a decade and in that time he has overseen the running of some of our most * moments.
His appointments and failure to strategise competently and lack of foresight/vision has culminated in the current situation.

We know what we will get with Lawell and to think that we cant bring someone in who can do better is perhaps the most * thing about us.

For most supporters, Lennon's time is up, irrespective of future results, short of a truly miraculous turnaround in results and performances. Even then, many people, myself included, feel that the club needs to head in a new direction.

It might be bizarre to actively hope that we lose to Sparta Prague, but I understand the sentiment. Disaster seems inevitable if Lennon remains in charge. I think that we would all take humiliation in a game that is now, embarrassingly, a dead rubber, over failing to defend the league title. A win on Thursday will probably just delay the inevitable.

Yeah I was at the Hibs game Mowbray lost at home even before St Mirren pumped us, it was pure poison and was clear his time was up. The fact there is no fans has definitely bought Lennon extra time only to the detriment to our season.
