Not much about this weather. They're funny wee birds. They either sit bang in front of you posing or as soon as you get close they move to the next tree down. I get a lot of exercise that way :56:

At midday today in my local woods I had 4 Firecrest together,my biggest ever count of this beautiful wee birds, our 2nd smallest bird.
Then at dusk today on my local patch on Ruby Roo’s 2nd Walk adding to the above I failed on my mission to get an Owl or Woodcock. But I saw 600 plus Jackdaws and Rooks loudly going to roost, great atmosphere.
Next week when more good weather comes another dusk outing at an old Church Grounds will take please in another attempt to get an Owl and Woodcock:84:

Been there a few times Blackfish. It is, rightly, one of the wonders of the natural world. Seeing a quarter million Gannets is something you never forget.

Juvenile Super Red Angel starting to show its colours. Approx 10cm now about 1 year old. Should reach 25cm in the next few years.

semi aggressive, territorial, Cichlid. Already learned how to tap the tank lid to let me know it’s hungry.

I got fantastic views of Firecrests today in my local woods.Such beautiful wee birds with a lovely sharp call.A male ans female came ever so close, but they twisted and turned, behind Ivy,leaves, twigs, making a nonsense of my pathetic failed attempt to get a photo:56:
Also a Chough called as it flew over the very top of my local patch and a female Sparrowhawk was flying from A to B.At the moment i am finding it much much easier to see Firecrest than it's far far far more common relative the Goldcrest, insane!!

I was walking along Sauchiehall St this morning. I crossed the road at Hope street and saw a Jackdaw walking up Hope Street. It wasn't giving a * about cars, buses etc. Cars had actually stopped to allow the Jackdaw time to walk up the street. An impatient bus driver brought an end to this spectacle. People actually booed, jokingly, at the bus driver. A true Glaswegian Jackdaw, not giving a *.
