You don’t play football with your arms either but if one is broken it’s going to hamper you, nah?

I’d love to see you play football without using your arms in some capacity. You don’t run with your arms strapped to your side. Your arms are always being used whether it’s when running or holding off opponents.

A sore mouth would be a nuisance. It doesn’t make you do the idiotic * he’s done or hamper your movement.

He’s not jockeying for possession with his jaw is he.

For all the doom mongerers & doubters, It was only a matter of time for him to show improvement.
Yesterday was that day, the first 75 mins of the game was his best for us since joining.

Stepped into the game at a vital time to usher us across the line in a snakey 4-1 victory tbh.

Yeah but he hasn't been there very long. There could be a ton of various reasons why he is struggling right now. We can't just write him off.

As I said, give him time, the whole team is going through a tough spell right now. We need to get behind them

cant really afford to give him more time, he doesnt suit our style of play or the possession we have in games, cannot defend high as he has zero pace and his passing is poor.

we took a punt, it hasnt worked.

You need pace to be a Celtic Defender. He has none and is a disaster on the ball. Feel sorry for him but we cannot risk playing him again in any League matches.

You don’t even know what issue he had mate :56:

If it was abscesses as is being rumoured then, aye, it will effect him massively.

I’m not making up excuses for him anyway, he’s been dreadful for whatever reason. He is, undoubtedly, a better player than that though whether he shows that in a Celtic strip or not.

Celtic's Shane Duffy 'should be appreciated' - says Stephen Kenny

IRELAND manager, Stephen Kenny reckons defender Shane Duffy should be appreciated and insists he has faith in the out-of-form Derry man.

Stephen Kenny should maybe watch him at current club level.

Bit hard to appreciate someone who's been nothing short of abysmal for his current club.
Sure he may do a job for Ireland and may have looked better at previous clubs.
But for us, today, now, he's *.
It's a loan deal in a very important season, sorry Kenny but we don't have time for sentiment and "appreciation"
    Can't appreciate *.

You are making excuses for him.

I couldn’t really care less if he’s good for Brighton camped in the box.

As soon as someone runs at him he turns into Bambi on ice. As I said, that attempt at defending against Prague is the most * thing I’ve seen from a CB at Celtic in a long time and that’s got * all to do with an abscess.

I was more talking about Ireland TBH.

Explain how I’m making excuses by stating the 2 facts; he’s been * and he had surgery on a mouth issue?

Can't help but feel he was signed because of who he is and not his football ability.

He was signed on his ability. What we are seeing currently is not the player he was previous

We'll appreciate him if he plays well and contributes, but so far, generally he's been a liability, so no, I don't appreciate that. I truly hope he can turn it around.

We didn’t sign him based on his Ireland appearances though. You’d not sign any player based on that. In hindsight it was a mistake, he doesn’t fit the way we play at all. The idea of having a no nonsense player beside two ball playing CB’s in a 3 at the back sounded ideal.

Simply mentioning the two in the same sentence seems like you’re making excuses for him?

I agree he’s not as bad as we’ve seen, that’s obvious. But he’s not playing like he is because of a mouth issue, so I don’t get why it’s being brought up. Almost blaming the management for his form for making him play through it.

If he’d been kept out the team because he had abscess surgery weeks ago we’d be asking questions.
