That was a St Mirren moment.

It might not have been if not for the 75% of pish we’ve seen so far this season.

What I will say though is we should be careful what we wish for. If Neil goes then Strachan and Kennedy should go with him. I think they are more the problem than Lennon.

    100%

Whoever it is needs to be allowed to bring in their trusted confidantes.

Foisting Kennedy upon another incoming manager would be like putting a new laminate flooring in and painting the walls of your living room, then planking back in your 20-year old jobby brown couch that reeks of Lambert & Butler.

Someone with a fancy foreign name.

Seriously though, I've no idea and I'm glad it's not my job to find one when the time comes.

Said it in the match thread and ti anyone who will listen.

The coaching staff need sacked now after that.
If TM and barnes got sacked for those types of performances then with the amount of money spent and what is on the line this season then so should the current management

The sort of manager that typically takes charge of the well drilled teams from smaller European leagues that come and out play us in the middle of the week. The teams who somehow manage to find 15 superstars for £3m each instead of paying the inflated wage of some donkey from the English leagues.

Desperate for a manager who knows next to * all about the club, league, players and country. Who actually has to watch the team play and develop a system and train the whole team in it not just his 11 mates who don't put any preperation in because shouting at them to try harder worked the last time or beleiving we're better just because we're Celtic so it'll be fine.

Big ask I know but if he goes and we just hire some familiar sour face like Roy Keane I think I'll take up kicking puppies as a hobby.

Give me a 2020 Ronny Deila, except also let him bring his own coaching staff.

A name? Alexander Zorniger, the ex-Brondby manager that turned Teemu Pukki into a monster. Strict, demanding, sets up for 'extreme gegenpress' football. Has a name tabloids would love. Currently unemployed.

I shouldn’t laugh but I did. You are spot on mate.

You cannot expect a man manager like Neil Lennon to succeed without him being able to choose trusted backroom staff. Lennon did not choose Strachan and Kennedy. That would be fine if Lenny was a training ground manager but there is enough facts out there to prove Lennon is anything but a training ground manager.

Could you imagine Martin O’Neil having his coaches forced upon him?

It should be a st mirren moment, but they probably won't see it like that cause it was Europe.

Would take Slavisa Jokanović although he’ll be on a filthy wage in the Middle East. Seen a couple suggestingbthat if Scotland get tanked by the Serbs then it slots in nicely for Lenny to be given the boot and Clarke to be installed, although Clarke will definitely want (and deserves) another campaign with the national team. Jardim is a pipe dream but also would be a massive gamble given his second spell at Monaco was a * show. So yea, it’ll be WGS till the end of the season.

    What about Michael O'Neil?
Whoever it is, they need to clear out coaching department.
Try bring back Duff as coach.
Bring in a set piece coach, how long have we been * at set pieces?

Football has moved so quickly in the last 5 years or so. I'd argue it's currently more about getting your system right and teaching your players how to implement it than ever.

Lennon doesn't have one. Gerrard (or someone there. Maybe Beale?) does which is nothing short of a disaster for us. The difference in their players (Kamara/Davis) plugging gaps when the full backs go forward compared to ours is massive.

I don't know enough about Howe to judge though I've heard a lot that he struggles with big names. The likes of Setien would be class particularly since he's mastered playing against low blocks but he'll no doubt end up back in mid table La Liga.

Most of the bookies favourites would be an absolute disaster (mostly going back to football having moved on - Moyes, Larsson, O'Neill, Keane etc) and should be avoided.

Realistically I agree with the previous suggestion that going for Jokanovic would be a good move.

Eddie Howe is the obvious one with him being out of work. But he got home sick when he went to Burnley so I dunno.
