No, it’s no guarantee we beat anyone. That’s how bad it is at the moment.

I can’t believe how little you care about Sunday’s game. Possibly the only Celtic fan I’m aware of that would say “it’s not the end of the world”. Tin pot stuff.

A few are absolute nutters on here, blind faith doesnt even cut it, it is pure deluded nonsense.
Claims he is certain we will beat St Mirren for those 3 points, then goes on to list the 6 transfers and say they are all * basically....at least 5 of them start every game! Not sure how any of them manage to logically think this through.
Our players who play are *....but blindly assume we will beat everyone and just get good.

    Ah right aye.

We will win the rest of our games in the League, Europe and domestic cups too so I guess we’ve won the Quadruple already?

    Well thank * for that.

I don’t even guarantee we beat teams when we are in good form, never mind this form.

He’s giving Aberdeen that much respect that he doesn’t mind losing against them on Sunday, but St Mirren aren’t even a thought. Despite already giving us trouble this season.

Simple solution for the short and long term would be to bring Rangnick in until the end of the season and let him take over as DOF next season and let him build the system where we’re finding our own Nagelsmann, Rose, Schmidt, Marsch etc.

If anyone on here thinks that on current form, looking at a dejected manager, players coming out contradicting what manager said as well as the sheer * we've produced this season is evidence enough to just assume 3 points is in the bag against likes of st mirren.

Please, seek immediate medical assistance as your brain has stopped working and/or your vision is impaired severely.

The arrogance in light of our current situation is frankly absurd

Believe me I'd like to be proven wrong but I just don't think we're the lure some people think we are. Pellegrini is a Spanish speaker with poor English and Spain is a more attractive country and league for him. We don't have the advantages most of these leagues/countries have.

I neither stated, nor implied that.

I disagree, but I never claimed that either.

    Again, I never said that.

Comparable clubs on the continent are able to consistently identify capable managers and coaches, even before they have earned the kind of reputation that puts them on the radar of clubs in the top-five leagues, because they work diligently to identify the best candidates available. They never appoint someone because he is a 'good [insert team name] man'.

Spain also has a much bigger pool of young local talent to tap into than Scotland for obvious reasons and he'll have a much easier time getting promising youngsters from South America to go there too.

    This thread is heartbreaking lately.

A lot of folk who would rather be right than see a Celtic legend succeed if they had to choose.

Basel and RB Salzburg are comparable clubs financially, their Leagues are of a better standard overall than Scotland.

If a manager is successful at either of those clubs then they aren't coming to Celtic.

Fauvre is on €7.5m per annum at Dortmund, Rose is on €3.5m at Gladbach. Added to that higher transfer & wage budgets, better standard of League, more TV exposure.

I agree that we could be more ambitious and cast the net further in our searches but those were never realistic appointments.

Before any ambitious manager comes to our club there will need to be a complete shake up of how we do things and as some of those are diametrically opposed - at least initially - to the PLC aims of turning profits, I'm very pessimistic that they'll happen.

This is what it feels like. Similar to when Strachan was manager. The Sevco fans will be loving it.

Completely disagree, and it's not the first time it's been suggested on here.

I don't think Lennon is the man for the job currently, if he turns it around I will be delighted to NOT "be right".

And I'm sure "a lot" of people will too.

Difference between people revelling in being right and genuine fans worried about how the team are set up tactically and playing over a prolonged period of time. [IMG][IMG]

    They’re not.

They’re the same old Aberdeen. In fact, they lost their best defender a couple of months ago.

Yet again, utter drivel from you. Give it a rest.

You seriously believe a lot of Celtic fans want us to fail in order to be “proved right”? Laughable.

What I’m seeing is the vast majority of people wanting the best for Celtic. That means there can be no time for sentimentality. Lennon is just a manager. If he isn’t the man for the job then he should go. Just like Deila.

Weirdly, a few people simply refuse to see past Lennon and appear to support him more than the club.

Not the case at all. I haven’t seen one person thats indicated that.

There’s nobody I would rather see lift the 10 than Lennon, but I would rather take whatever measures are necessary to see the club lift the 10 than stick with Lennon simply out of blind loyalty.

This is where I'm at now.

I had belief in Lennon up until recently but whatever is going on behind the scenes, I don't think he's able to find the solution to; it's been going on too long now.

I take no pleasure in saying that, I love the wee man and would love nothing more than to be eating humble pie.
