NL: It’s weird having to play a competition from last season this season. It’s testament to the players’ consistency. We are in another semi-final and we are very much looking forward to it.”

NL: “We are desperate to try and maintain that. We are looking forward to it. We want to win all the competitions we are in.”

NL on #ScottishCup: “It’s a priority because it’s a competition we want to win and we don’t want this run of trophies to end. The players have worked hard and have a fantastic cup record.”

NL: “Edouard’s trained the last few days, Bitton’s back training and we’ve no fresh injury concerns from the weekend.”

NL on Jullien: “We are probably looking at having him back after the international break. He’s abroad at the minute getting treatment on a day to day basis. He’s struggling with inflammation and soreness around his spine, he’s a few weeks away yet.”

NL on Duffy: “He’s just had a bumpy week but he’s a quality player. He made a mistake at the weekend but first-half he was excellent. He’s a human being and he made a mistake, but he shouldn’t be hung out to dry for it. He has my full support.”

NL: “People can put out in the media what they want but they need to behave themselves, need to start acting professional and they need to stop digging out players when they’ve been players themselves and didn’t have a great time the whole way through their time here either.”

NL on the press/media: I’ve seen two newspapers run polls on whether I should be sacked or not. Never seen it before in 20 years I’ve been up here. Who’s driving that? It’s not the Celtic fans.”

NL: “Am I unhappy with this week’s work? Yes, because we like to play well and win. But we are getting better and stronger and have a lot to look forward to.

NL: “The players are strong and they’ve proved that time and time again. I have every faith in the players. The atmosphere in the camp is very good.”

NL on UEL: “If we win the game it opens the group up for us. We’ve made a disappointing start to the group so it’s important we get something out of the game. We are going to need a strong team out because Lille are a very good side. All our focus at the minute is on Lille.”

NL: “I think we can tidy up, some players can get better and we’ll strive to do that as we go along. The important thing is we strive to improve in every game.”

    One bad week... wow.

The only lack of respect being shown here is trying to tell me it's one bad week. * me.

I think he probably would - he'll be on a decent salary and what bigger job could he get. I don't think we should give it to Kennedy btw but I don't think like you seem to that foreign automatically equates to better. I think there will be plenty of young British/Irish managers with potential every bit as much as on the continent and what chance do they have of making it if our clubs don't give them a chance.

It's a rock and a hard place for the board..

It would be a gamble replacing the manager at this stage of the season of all seasons. An instant impact would be required which may not happen as it could take time to instill his ethos.

But, it may become more of a gamble not to act.

That's proper annoyed me that. Totally ignorant to the support he can bury his head in the sand all he wants and pretend we've been brilliant but I think he forgets that although there's nobody in the stadium we can still see the game.

The only way he gets sacked is a Tony Mowbray-esq scudding off the likes of ST Mirren.

We could feasibly lose to sheep 1-0 and he'd remain in post, but for him tk get sacked they'd have to kill us 4/5-0.

Lennon will hang onto his role at least till new year.

It's true, it is a difficult choice, but.... If the board showed no mercy right now, papped Lennon out the door and then went big like they did for Rodgers, the fans and probably players would immediately react to this.

It's of course all ifs and buts really but there is no doubt in my mind if board went out and brought back a real statement signing of a new manager our players would react big time and turn this boring, flat as *, fatigued looking play right around.

He’s in complete denial at this stage. This is not media driven, it’s fan-driven. It seems he genuinely can’t see how bad this situation has gotten.

Don’t like that at all tbh. Would prefer it if he would just come out and admit we’ve not been good enough this season.

Always felt Strachan had an way of deflecting any criticism by suggesting that fans opinions simply weren’t valid, mainly because we hadn’t played/coached at a high level. Don’t want Lennon to go down that same route. It doesn’t take a great understanding of the game to look at how we’re currently playing and come to the conclusion that something, somewhere isn’t right. It isn’t just down to results either - we’ve been subpar since the season began, with the exception of a couple of performances.

I said this last week is what actually frightens me is that Lennon himself cant actually see what's happening.

If he came out and said ok we have been poor and we seriously need to improve I'd be like ok at least he sees it....

He actually doesn't see how * we have been since day one of this season.. that's what worries me..

Really want him to turn it around for not just our fortunes but for himself. Hes a club Legend but I fear after that interview the writings on the wall. His tactics are a shambles. We should never have regressed this far.

Digging in with the ol bunker mentality. 1 bad week, driven by the media......Is that why your pals and agents are on social media arguing with the fans. Ajer disagreeing with him yesterday. Jeezo. This has the potential to get really bad if that's his attitude and thoughts.

A decision needs to be made asap before the club is made a laughing stock by staunch, red, white and blue media hacks.

I was feeling this way after the Ferencvaros game to be honest, and I haven't seen enough to suggest things are shifting in our favour, and that was a couple of months ago now.

It seems crazy to be considering changing the management at this point but I think the board should seriously be preparing for it, before it's too late.

With lockdown, everybody, literally every single fan is watching on t.v. Where there is every camera angle, pause and rewind, running, possession, shots, throw in stats (plus the rest) going. Plus analysis from ex pros. You cannot fool the punters. They see and here everything currently.

It's mental if believes it is one week. I believe that was for the board really.

I can't understand how he can come out and defend anything that's happened this season, we've been nothing short of tragic a majority of the time, decent games against Hamilton & Hibs don't forgive everything that happened either side of those games.

His rant about the media being against him and a majority of the fans still being on his side reeks of the huns 'everyone is against us' mentality.

I understand people saying that were only two points behind where we were at this time last season but I wonder where we'll be when he eventually get's the sack and how difficult it'll be to climb out of that hole.

On a final note, it's difficult enough for us to keep our best players with the EPL just down the road, with Lennon in charge players will leave, not a single player has improved since he came back in, I'd go as far as to say most of them have went back the way.

I don't know the answer to who we get in but then again the Lawwell's job, I'd be staggered if he hasn't been having a look at who's available.

It's like hes been brainwashed by himself. The * he has been spouting is off the scale. I'm getting embarrassed by it now.
