Absolutely disgusting disgraceful performance against a mediocre team, every Celtic player out there today disgraced us

Papering over the cracks for over a year. We have been found out consistently by teams who we are better than but they have tactically outplayed us in Cluj , copenhagen, feverancos and sevco on the last three occasions. We look devoid of ideas against the weaker teams that sit in and we have failed to get the best out of ANY player in the squad this season. Let's not forget we were very lucky v Dundee United and st Johnstone. We can't forget as well that sevco were poor today yet comfortably won the game .

forrest was a miss today a player that could give us something special
a fit griffiths i understand why neil wouldnt play him from the start as hes not fit hed be worried hed not last the first half same with ajeti

but maybe other managers instead of seeing the negative would have gambled on the positive side and played ajeti and griff

is he neil too cautious conservative to be in charge of an attacking celtic ? and the players arent inspired is he limiting their attacking impetus with his conservative instincts ?

i think an attacking manager would get a lot more from our celtic side for sure and wed all like watching us more

Looking at our fixtures just now, with that Aberdeen semi final on the 1st Nov, another postponed SPFL game meaning we’ll more than likely be 7 points behind after that weekend. That will be huge pressure on the team and Lennon to pull this around

I’ve just finished watching that after not being able to watch it live. Wow. Insipid doesn’t cover it. We aren’t winning the league if things continue like this, that much is certain. They are a better team than us right now , I think it’s clear to see. We can argue about our missing players but it’s not like we were firing on all cylinders with them anyway. Something just seems way off this season. The only saving grace I take right now is that we are probably only 1pt behind them. But we have been ridden our luck and that won’t continue. Something needs to change. Over to you Neil.

Christie does have legs.....but recently most of that energy is recovering his slack passing.
As I said I feel the only thing, with the players out that we had, would have been start Griffiths.

This season even with a full strength team we have lacked fluidity, cohesion, energy, and most of all.......100% passion

I've been a member for 15 years but never post. Today was *, no doubt about it, But we're a much better team than them. Look at our players compared to theirs, no contest. Imagine if we have all our player fit and playing well. That's the difference just now, they're playing out of their skins and benefiting from no crowds. FFS we didn't even have our make-shift CB Bitton today. Win our game in hand and we're only 1 point behind. Also, if we win the Scottish Cup imagine what that will do for our confidence. I remember "good" rangers teams being 6 or 7 points ahead when there wasn't much between the teams and we still won the league. Their bottle will crash, we'll get over the injuries and poor form and Lennon will stick with a solid formation. Keep the faith

Optimism is always nice, I usually have it in bucket loads but it's faltering. It's a shame we have regressed so much but we have rallied before and I hope we do again :50:

Based on today? McGregor and Taverner over Barkas and Frimpong, but McGregor had nothing to do. Morelos marginally better than Klimala but both feeding on scraps, Kamara much better than Cham.

Had to take a walk and some fresh air before saying any more on this..,,, 5 mins out and there’s cars passing with Hun scarfs hanging out like they’ve won a cup final - understandable if in Glasgow but I’m in rural Yorkshire ....

What leaves me at a complete loss is that... if our players can’t get themselves up for a game like that - and if Lennon can’t ‘get’ them up for it - then what can they get motivated for?

This was our chance to take a lead in the league and with a game in hand .... it would have knocked the Huns media fuelled bravado significantly. Instead ... eve given them not only the advantage... but oxygen for their feelgood campaign to continue...

It’s not just frustrating and embarrassing... it’s downright stupid. Lenny has been caught out just like last time. He is being shown up as the inept one by a thicky trainee manager with a fraction of the experience.

I have no confidence that he can turn it around enough. Whether it’s his stubbornness or player attitude or both. We are 1/4 way through the season, you can argue there’s a long way to go... but what evidence is there thAt he will improve things?

Based in today solely I don’t think you can make an honest case for any of ours unfortunately.

Overall though, I think a combined XI would be much closer to 50/50 than most might like to admit.

As inept and soulless a performance as you’re likely to see.

You could tell after the first 5 that our system was tailor-made for theirs from their perspective and they effectively nullified our predominantly attacking wing backs.

They have a system with and without the ball whereas we look like we have no direction. The defending for the second was atrocious on our behalf but they play give and go’s and try and create opportunities whereas we don’t do any of that.

We bring the ball out from the back so slowly and nobody wants it or makes inroads. Lennon had no idea what to do to change it.

The line-up filled me with the same dread as it did in the LCF last season. Klimala starting hasn’t worked once before yet he goes with it.

The stat of no shots on target really does say it all. When you add that to the fact it’s against our biggest threat, and they scored within the first 10 minutes, it’s disgraceful.

Doesn’t take mystic meg to figure out how we’re going to play. Change needed immediately... but will it happen? Very much doubt it

The performance only comes under scrutiny if we lose , the result in this game is everything ,we lost by being hampered from lack of options from fitness and a global situation , preparation for this game must have been an horrendous issue , however we have been here before with games against them and hunger and building momentum into something that is showing signs of working against the norm over the last 9 years , they are getting their act together at the right time and its a delicate situation to press the panic button and go for major changes can unsettle and have the same outcome your trying to avoid .
This year we have such a short term outlook as a club and , our club always point to the facts "we only look at wot we do as a club " the bigger picture of building for the future is in the bin , its now or never and that pressure is sapping the creativity and energy , fear of failure makes every decision second guessed , the only way the pressure will even out is towards the latter stages if we reach that , and they are in front can they hold their nerve , will they collapse again , you could not take the chance on that happening again , we need to look at this game and find the answer , management need to find the solution to the pressure and getting the team to express themselves without fear , if the manager feels fear of failing then the players will feel it also .

We know we are better team.

The infuriating thing is......we haven't looked it for some time.
Our spark has faded and there is something seriously amiss

Everyone has off days but the fact of the matter is we’ve been pish all season yet somehow managed to grind out results. Normally that would be seen as the sign of champions but I just don’t see it like that given the consistently poor performances. We have not turned up like we can for a long time now. It’s not a case of 1 very good performance then 2 or 3 poor. It’s been dire week after week and each week we have been saying it’s bound to come together soon. We can go on about having players missing but would it really have had that much of a bearing on the game? I don’t think it would have for reasons stated above. The main concern is the lack of fight & attitude on show by the team as a whole. Everything points towards there being a problem off the park. We’ve had plenty of performances this season that should have put a rocket up their arses but it hasn’t happened.
Not one shot on target at home against those *. Don’t care if we had 4/5/10 players out, that is completely unacceptable under any circumstances.
Anyone who is unwilling to accept there is a problem is blind imo. F knows what the solution is but we need to find one now or it’s going to be too late.

You're right we have regressed. I just don't think some of these players are fit. There's no excuse for Lennon not playing them. IMO as much as Forrest is decent, we miss Paddy Roberts in that position. Griffiths is an unbelievable striker and I genuinely think he could have been another Craig Bellamy but his attitude is terrible. If he sorts himself out (for the 28th time...) then he'll always score. Tam Rogic rips every team apart so get him fit and get Ntcham out (never seen why people rate him). Our midfield is brilliant just need to find the right formation. Defence is suspect but so is theirs. Big, slow defenders always due a mistake or 2, thought Duffy would have sorted that out but I'll give the big man a bit more time.
