    TBH, not particularly a favourite genre of mine either. When I was in high school, all those many years ago, my 2 best friends were obsessed with these movies, so basically any time visiting either of them meant that had to sit through an absolute tonne of them. So it did kind of desensitize me to them but and not really my thing, but can still appreciate good ones from the bad.

    Nowadays, mostly unless there is added element - the psychological horror, such as Gerald's Game or Eraserhead, or horror comedy, like Gremlins or Beetlejuice, rather than just the jumpscare and gorefest antics, but it is all part of it. :)

    The Shining is the only one I didn't watch to the end because it * with my head,was about 10 first time I tried to watch it though.One of my favourites now...need to read the book because apparently it makes certain things still in the movie make much more sense.
