There was a bit in Sevillle where Paul Lambert had a real go at someone (I think it was Maloney, maybe someone can confirm if I'm right) for not keeping the ball moving quickly. That's what we were crying out for all day and it was really noticeable that it changed for us when Broony came on (definitely by example with his passes and gestures and I bet he was shouting at people too).

Klimala and Griffiths will rightly get the plaudits, but Scott Brown changed that game there.

Yeah it was half tongue in cheek, I mostly agree with that.

What was clear today is that he hasn’t been the reason we’ve been performing poorly this season. Our only had much more tempo, urgency and control with him involved, which in itself creates its own problem, because he won’t be here forever.

He needs to be looked after properly, and should be one of the first guys to come off when we’re well ahead, but think it’s clear he still has lots to offer to the first XI.

The difference today with him on the pitch to him not being there was palpable.

Worrying is a better choice of word than palpable, for me.

Why? He’s a player that’s always fit and available, teams always have those guys they rely upon. For me, McGregor and Broony are the foremost of that list for us. And they’re both reliable as *.

I've called him out but he was massive when he came on..

Played like a captain when we were toiling..

What people always seem to miss when it comes to him is he steps up and takes the responsibility of what should be other players in the teams jobs when it’s not quite going our way. His passing when he came on is 100% what Lenny was screaming at Ntcham all game from the touchline, quicker and forward.

Because we should be able to play like that without him by now, we have had long enough to plan for the future.

I'm far from knocking him Dev, I understand his worth & contribution, just pointing out going forward (in time) it worries me.

He was taking the ball and never passed back once..

I'm no gonna be knee-* as I've been calling for him to be dropped but he offered us much more than Ntcham today..

I get what you mean but for me, there’s not any signs of him slowing down. I’m more sure he’ll still be kicking around in a couple years than I am the likes of Eddy :56:

I’m not even going to pretend I’m not biased when it comes to Broony, one of my favourite ever Celt’s but I’ve been saying it a lot this season, I can’t see what others have when he’s been coming in for criticism. I don’t think it’s him slowing down, just the team not fully gelled yet.

Think there's an element of the side clearly no gelling yet but he has looked off it..

Been better the last week though...no doubt about it..

I love Broony as well. Always will..

    He’s a leader.

    Still our MVP.

Just needs his game time managed carefully.

    All Hail Brooninho!
