That line up would see me going in to every game confident we'd be quick and reasonably dynamic even on an off day. It would have goals all over it. I'd probably swap Ajer out for Jullien though, I really struggle with Ajer, I just don't see what others do, he is never a cb for me.

I don't think anyone could argue that that's not a class team though.

If he played this way and bought a decent lwb, I'd even be happy with Taylor as a back up LWB.
If the rest of the match day squad was fit for purpose, you can allow and forgive Taylor for being a bit too basic, he doesn't do anything magical, nor anything really wrong, so when they rest of the team is up to scratch you can allow it, but when the rest of the squad is * poor, it just makes it worse for a guy like Taylor in this position.
