I'd like to think that we atleast enquired about Danny Rose for the LWB situation, wages would probably be the main issue but is he not heading out to Genoa on loan?

 

And to be fair it’s rare anyone stands out that much against us, last one I remember being properly impressed by in Spfl was McGinn years ago.

 

I always thought Armstrong and Christie stood out against us

 

Totally agree...thought he played well against us and has played very well for Scotland under 21.likes a tackle....one to keep an eye on

 

To a certain degree yes, but McGinn gave Broony the best battle I had seen in the spfl at only 19.

 

Spurs tell Sessegnon he can leave. Surely we need to ask the question about a loan at least.

 

Would be some signing but would imagine some other EPL clubs would try get him like Fulham, Crystal Palace etc.

Larouci from Liverpool has apparently been told he could go, only has a year left on his deal and is a French unders international that looks like he would fit the LWB role well.

 

Seems to bw gathering a bit of pace with the rumours..

Lenny has spoken about resting Broony more and Campbell has just hit a bit of form..

Cheap so I can see it happening..

 

Is be better than Soro and Connell?

We already have a few midfielders who can’t get on the pitch, so adding another would be strange.

 

Could be planning for the future, by this time next year Brown, Rogic and Ntcham will 100% be gone, and I honestly think Christie will leave too. Would leave us with Mcgregor, Turnbull, Soro, Robertson and Campbell if so. I think Connell's future lies at fullback for us, infact he should already be getting games there at this moment

I quite like that Alan Campbell has a bit of dig about him think Motherwell is his level though

 

Think McGinn would have been a few years older than that at the time, but I agree he was arguably the last one to stand out.

On McClean, I'd really be quite happy with that one. Not a brilliant player by any means but an improvement on Taylor as a wing-back in the attacking sense. A tough player, good energy and work rate down that side and you just know he'd walk over broken glass to play for Celtic.

I'd not be against the signing of Allan Campbell, but I don't think he's one we'd need in this window, surely? We still have Scott Brown and we've yet to see what Soro can do. Campbell will have played a lot of games for a relatively young player, and is maybe someone who could improve a lot over the next few years in the same way McGinn did when he left Hibs.

 

Every time I hear his name I think it’s the * from UB40.......... my wife just * herself at me grumbling about it too haha

 

If campbell was to sign this window, he'd almost certainly be loaned back to motherwell til January.

 

His contract is up next year so won't cost much or we just wait until January.

I like him but we're stacked in the middle of the park. Would only want it done if one or two move on, which I don't want

 

Long term though we could be without Christie, Ollie , Rogic and Brown next summer

 

They need to be replaced with high-quality additions.

A midfield of McGregor, Soro, Campbell, Henderson, Connell, and Robertson would be a considerable downgrade - at least in the short-term.

Was the 2013/14 season, was at the game in Paisley, so he might of even only been 18, gave Broony a serious good battle and wanted us to sign him since then.

And yeah in my original post I just said we should keep an eye one him, possible future replacement for Brown. Definitely don’t need him this season but interested to see how he does this season.
