    I'm a bit meh with him myself..

    Is he decent? Aye
    Is he better than what we have? No hard
    Can he play wing back as well? Yep

    I just feel we could and should be going out and spending some money on a rapid, solid, quality player there for year's to come..

    Ideally I want a good one in and Doughty as the versatile backup with potential that could come in whenever..

    The rage would be hilarious though..

    Him and Doughty would be good business if we can get it done. They two can play lebron for us and if we need to go more defensive, maybe Taylor can fill in at LB.

    The main thing that worries me about the McLean rumour is what it says about our scouting ability. The fact we have not been able to line up any other options than McLean is worrying.

    The majority of people we are signing or are linked with comes from EPL and Championship which are notoriously over priced markets. We have done well out of the french market the last couple of seasons but have failed to land any targets from there despite a few links.

    Even when we do venture into other markets it seems more off a punt on a pals recommendation than properly scouting players, see Bayo, Shved and Klimala.

    McClean isnt a massive improvement.

    If we were linked with any other stoke player there would likely be uproar. Theres obvious links with him.

    At this point I'd take him as a squad player and over Taylor but realistically, we should be spending money on a better solution.

    When Nick Hammond joined us originally I had a look through his signings at previous clubs and pretty sure like 90% of the players he signed were based in England, so not surprised we’ve been linked to so many since he’s come in.

    James would burst his lungs playing for us
    the only reason Rangers got close to us when we played them was because too many of our players, who are better quality, bottled it
    They were simply more up for it then we were

    with Duffy and McClean all of our team would be lifted. We would have fighters who know what it means to us

    it would be AMAZING !!!!!!!
