Thanks buddy for the nice words.

Yeah me and my wife last night sat down and watched some of the videos and pics from she was a pup till the end.

Made us laugh and made us cry but reassured us she had a long and loving life.

She got a lung deciese common with the westie breed, and it took hold of her so fast.

6 weeks ago was her first turn, it was almost like a fit, not enough oxogen to the brain.

We got her to the vet and she been 6 times over the last 6 weeks since she took that turn.

On a bad day she would take 2 of them turns, but she was struggling to breathe. Wr carried her up and down the stairs, she slept in my room. We had to get a stair gate, a fan, air pureifer, we left the windows either open or on latches and we would follow her everywhere incase she took another turn.

Sometimes we would get several days without one. But she was heavy breathing, her tongue espically in the morning was blue.

We even read up on it all and got lazer thearpy for her to help her.

And she was booked for more therapy on sunday morning. But she had a bad turn very late sat night and on sunday had 3 of them turns beween 7am and 9am.

It was so tough, but she was 16 next month and was struggling, we couldnt kerp putting through this. It was for us and not her.

We watched videos from march and april this year and she was fine. But from june we seen her slow a good bit and july was the first turn. So short a space of time

But to make that decision was hard, and although i know it was right i still cant accept it. Sorry to kerp going on, but i cant stop talking about her

After a few thankful near misses , a few [IMG] opportunities fell away but seemed proper dodgy potential puppy farms i think

We have a new member to the Family we got a wee Shih Tzu (black with a white undercoat like a Tuxedo and wee white sock paws) 8.5 weeks old , got him end of last week , hes doing really well on his mats only thing is his poo's are quite runny and a bit of blood but the all clear from the Vet just due to a change on his Food they think

My Bhoy called him Alfie , I tried Cesar or Sammy lol

Don't know how to upload pictures??

Nearly got caught out with a "maybe" puppy farmer when were looking the other month

Someone from Ayshire was still shielding so u couldn't go to their House to view the puppies someone was meeting u somewhere to show u the puppie in the car , Thanks but no thanks

Had him at the Vet Saturday for the free puppy check everything all fine had a dodgy stomach but we changed his food too quick thats settled down already, and so far he's always went to the pad for everything even during the night been like that since we got him  fingers crossed keeps it up

Sorry for your loss (iam on here going on about our wee pup aswell :54:)

My in laws Westie passed away back in January there , think that's what pushed the missus into finally going for our own family dog(ive been trying for a few years) , he wouldve been 16 back in June , I went up with her and my Father in Law to get him aswell back then (he always slept under our bed when he used to stay there and I couldn't sit down unless I took him for a walk even the start if the year he used to bark at me an then look at the missus saying going to tell him lol) never realised how bad it felt until i got sent home from work the day after he passed cause I was a mess , my in law said he could never get another Dog but said once hes retired he will now

Sorry to hear of your loss brother. The pain you feel is deep and it’s real so don’t allow guilt to creep in.. the voice in your head that tells you you’re overreacting. We can only be thankful that we were there to experience their company for the years we had them and remember them fondly. Perfect little creatures. RIP Saoirse.

    Thanks for kind words men.

Its nearly 3 weeks since Saoirse died. And i still catch myself each day calling her.

Its so fast how it all happens in the end. Even though she was sick for 6 weeks, but they day she was put asleep so an ordinary vet apt day, but she was struggling so much. And me and my wife both throught she was living for us, and that wasnt fair.

That saying about taking the pain away from them and onto yourself, is never a true a word spoken.

Even with 2 kids my house just still seems so empty.

Any tips on puppies on how to stop them eating their own * , don't know if its a breed thing with Shih Tzu's, trying our best but sometimes during the night like just now we miss him by the time we've woke up there is just a * stain on his mat :99: and he's lying back in his bed or cage(room) , saw stuff online saying to add stuff to his food but he had a dodgy stomach the first week we had him so he's on fancy food from the vet to help with tgat which seems to be working so don't want to mess that up

Wasn't a problem with in laws westie (15 years ago) as he slept on the missus(our) room or my sis in law bulldog (who we watched and sort of house trained for the first 2 weeks)

    Cheers
