We bought him from City. Sure the initial fee was only around £300k but it could rise up to £1 million based on appearances/achievements.

There was reports of City having a 30% sell on clause. Lots of people will say that Lawwell wouldn’t agree to that and I totally get that. However it might be true in this case as we paid so little for him in the first place. Hopefully it is rubbish though.

It’s not like the Edouard deal where we had a significant outlay at £9 million and there is rumours that PSG have a 40% sell on clause. I find that much less believable.

This guys young, inconsistent and that shows in his comments here. One game we need a new RB because hes just not good enough. Next game hes the next LB messi. Have always said it but if we persist with him he will become our best player.

To be honest i think he has been more consistent of late than the likes of Forrest and Mo.
Iv seen a few games that he has played in where he has looked like our most dangerous player going forward, such as the cup final vs rangers and in europe, which speaks volumes of his ability that it shows in big games.

I remember being worried about playing Frimpong in that game as I thought he was too lightweight but before he was sent off I was thinking I was wrong because he was pretty much our only player who was playing well.

His confidence on the ball is so refreshing, love watching him play.

Forster was our only good player that day.

However..I'm not saying Frimpong was *..I just think we were so * as a unit it was hard to see any positives that day.

    Apart from beating them *'s

Maybe not via a direct move from us, but he could very easily end up back at Man city if he continues to grow at the rate he has been whilst with us.

The sell-on fee is true and it's why our initial outlay was so low.

They knew the boy was a player but they know he would never got a look in at City. Rather than spend big fees on players like Roberts and send them out on endless loans til their contract expires I think we might see more clubs going down this route.

To be honest it suits us down to a tee, low initial cost so if the player bombs then it's not impacted our budget massively and if they're a roaring success like Frimpong then we'll still make 20x-70x our initial fee.

Got to agree, given how low his fee was in todays game, * *, that was absolutely daylight robbery even with his 30% fee we've taken city for a ride here.

I mean aye, on paper it looks a lot because if we sold him for £30mill City make £9mill out of it, but we could easily recoup most, if not all of that no bother by getting our bog standard 10%/15% sell on, as he'd easily ship for £80mill+ if showed this type of form at clubs in any of the big 5 leagues.

I say £80mill+ because in 7 years time transfer fees will likely just inflate like they have recently.

He's a bit like your Walkers and that too, in the sense that even if he gets his positioning wrong occasionally defensively he has so much pace he can normally recover and still make the tackle.

Yep. His pace is his biggest strength in both attacking and defending.
Exciting to see him develop. He's already shown he can be influential in games

Quietest I’ve saw him today, glad though. We can be too reliant on such a young player to bring us up the park, great player, especially for his age!

For those who are in love.....
Tight pitch and one time first half when he was running on the ball, 3 County player's were at him..

Does need to brush up at time's but he's superb for me. So quick and unstoppable from a standing start..

Excellent for the counter away and tailor made for home game's on our big pitch..
