If he does then I would say offer him a larger contract to stay. If he does score that amount I doubt he would stay at toulouse, probably wait for a ligue 1 club to come in

Couldn’t write it man. We don’t have a fit striker yet Bayo is banging them in for Toulouse :giggle1:

Mind you even if he was on our bench Lennon wouldn’t think he was fit enough anyway.

They will buy him for £2 million and then sell him for £15 million in the same window next year

He had good movement and would always likely smash it for any side who stuck ball's in/were a bit more direct than us..

I think a bit of prospective is needed here. If he is deemed no better than klimala or even Griffith's who is completely lacking match and general fitness, then he isn't of standard. Plain and simple.

Where we * up isn't in shipping bayo out, it's signing him in the first place and then not finding a fit and ready replacement when we established he wasn't of standard.

I think he is a decent enough striker, he isn't any kind of bangura or amido. It would appear he isn't good enough for us though. If a half fit ajeti, klimala or Griffith's is favoured to a fully fit bayo that says everything we need to know.

I think sometimes we find comfort in a fantasy idea that if he stayed for the game against ferenvarcos that he may have won us the game. I really doubt that actually would have been the case.

Wish him well. He done us no harm, am sure he gave everything he had for us in training and his limited game time. In an ideal world he will come back from this loan the striker we need him to be, but we don't live in a ideal world. If we recoup his transfer fee then we should be happy. I cannot see a financial return at Celtic park from him

Scored twice but I've heard that Craig Levein has been on to the French FA to tell them that it was actually two own goals

Say he has a great season over there, would it be within our rights to withdraw the option to buy clause?

He offers something completely different to what we have at the minute and he never got enough chances to determine whether he would make it with us or not. I always thought he had something about him whenever he did play.

Exactly mate. I think some were maybe a bit critical of him when he did play which let’s be honest wasn’t often. He isn’t an all round player like Edouard. His whole game is revolved around staying in the box and getting on the end of crosses. I honestly think he would have been perfect the other night and would have got on at least one or two of the wasted crosses/cut backs we had!

We have to go more direct against teams in the league who sit back. I think Bayo would bully a lot of defenders domestically with his ability in the air but didn’t get a proper chance.

Would have liked to have seen him get a run in the side with Edouard and let Edouard do his thing, pulling wide and dropping deep but just leave Bayo in the box to get on the end of things.

As you quite rightly said if we changed our approach I think he would have done a job for us. We knew exactly the type of player he was when signing him so once again the question has to be asked why bother signing him if he doesn’t fit into the style we are looking to implement? I see no reason why we couldn’t go more direct at times, especially against teams when they are sitting back.

Ajeti looks like he will be the perfect partner for Edouard, we just have to get him fit asap. Hopefully he will be the one to stay in and around the box as we have been far too wasteful with crosses and pull backs and we need someone to stay in around the box to take these chances.

Put it this way, I’d have been far more comfortable starting him up front against Ferencvaros than Christie.

We need a big cf in the shape of VoH or a Hartson or Sutton, whether he would have been that man is irrelevant now as he barely featured and is now banging in goals for Toulouse.

Don't think he is same class as the strikers I mentioned above, but he could still have done a job for us given a decent run in the team.

Fantasy tenner on he would have been there to stick a shin on Forrests cut back.....far more likely than the two other midfielders entrusted to have the instinct to do so

As others have said signing Bayo was the issue in the first place, but if the question was would I have rather played with Bayo or Christie on Wednesday as a striker?

Bayo who is an actual striker everyday of the week for me, his touch often let him down but he was capable of tying up defenders and his movement was enough to trouble defenders, he would have also been an extra physical presence who could get on the end of the thousand set pieces we had. He may not even have scored a goal but made the room for one of the others to get space in the box.

Better than Klimala for me. Dangerous in the air and had good technique for a big guy.

He had much more game time than Klimala too so I think Patryk should have been loaned out to get game time.

    He couldn’t trap a ball.

Personally thought he offered absolutely nothing if the ball was on the deck. Found himself in decent shooting positions at times but pretty much always made an * of the finish.
