I can see us selling 2 and keeping eddy,or selling eddy and keeping the other 2.But not all three. It would mean we need 4 signings if we sold all three and that is just never going to happen. As we have seen with other players we get in for some reason they take half a season to get match fit. As you might have guessed i have 100% no faith in our ability to sell and buy without damaging the season.

He stands nothing to gain by coming out and continuing to divide the team. He has to rally the troops at this point for the next game, despite his contradictions.
He has no idea which of the players will still be there at the end of the window and if he will be able to find replacements.

As * off as I still am at Lennon and as unforgivable as Ferencvaros is, he has been dealing with a lot of player issues such as Griffiths, Boli and the player who want away.

Its frustrating beyond belief that we seem to be imploding from within at the beginning of a season of such importance to celtic fans. So as a manager it must be worse for him.

Its not a time to let pride and ego get in the way, he needs to get everyone back fighting and get wins together, which will ultimately help to get us back on track.

A win against them is the real paper over the cracks though.

We can’t let just beating them become the level we happy with.

That’s been my thinking for a while...

This season is the most important since 67, 88 or 98 (stopping Oldhuns 10 for us was so important it should ram home to everyone how Seriously the rest want to stop us)...

.... but , while 11,12 , 13 might feel great (and I might change my mind) 10 is the benchmark and it’s not as if ANY other club is going to match it or exceed it.

Mych more important to have an absolute reset of the club .... even if it meant a top to bottom boardroom to locker room revolution to completely re-energise the club.

Get the 10 then genuinely prioritise Europe whether it’s CL or Europa league... the domestic trophies will come as a natural byproduct by default.

Ideally I’d like to see us in a european league structure anyway with participation in the cup/cups

The stars are naturally aligning for it ...

Ten is the pinnacle , Broony wil be done (future coach?), players will go, Manager could / maybe SHOULD go... board, Lawwell , Desmond ??? Who knows?!?

Evolution has worked for 132 years..

    Time soon for Revolution.

My big worry is cal mac , his game has went downhill a bit and that also maybe points to someone unsettled, he has played in England and may fancy a move , the players who have been through the last 5 year must have lost appetite , its human nature after winning everything domestically, maybe changes will be forced on us but that may not be a bad thing , adding a little more hunger and drive can have the desired effect ,its just happening at a crucial time wen too much upheaval can affect results short term , do we gamble or stick ?

His anger came from the fact that we lost the game, we lost the game because of his decisions ffs lol !

Yeah i know that, i just mean in the context of Lenny staying on as manager, as i said we have to win the games before that, right now we don't know what the mindset of the players is.

I don't think it's a surprise his form dwindling has coincided with lennon coming back IMO. Say what you like about Rodgers but he improved his game tenfold.

I dont see McGregor leaving before this season. Definitely not. But I think he will leave next season.

I think McGregor will go next year , do the ten and what challenges are left then ? Think he will want to test himself and will be at his peak

And not for the first time, mainly because he likes his 1st 11 and rather than use a squad player he will use one of his 11 out of position.

I think the talk of him taking the role of captaincy is messing with his game because he has an eye elsewhere , and possibly your right , br got more out him , and the fact that broony who I still rate will tire and cal maybe shadowing for that reason which takes away from his game too.

    We did.

But we also lost because we could only score one goal against Ferencvaros, at Celtic Park.

Perhaps a striker might have helped.

The buck stops with the manager, his failure to play a proper striker cost us big time, it was managerial negligence of the highest order, made all the worse because it's not the first time this has happened.

Eddie is the most likely of all 3 to go IMO, although it was nice to hear his agent speak respectfully like that.

He's the most valuable out the 3 and at £30m+ this summer, the fee could drop substantially next summer as he goes into the last year of his deal. After the Boyata fiasco Lawwell will not allow that to happen.

    * knows who we'll get to replace him, Toney looks like he's on his way to Brentford for £10m.

Flicking through this I’m seeing his time at Hibs being brought up to defend him again. I had countless arguments with people bringing that up when he was appointed.

    Let’s remember.

Stubbs finished 2nd behind Hearts and ahead of a weakened Huns on 70 points. In that same season he got to the League Cup Quarters and the Scottish Cup Semi.

Next year, Stubbs finished 3rd behind the huns and Falkirk. Again, 70 points. He got to both Finals, winning the Scottish Cup.

Stubbs left and Lennon took over.

Lennon got Hibs promoted. He finished on 71 points. One more than both Stubbs seasons, however it was without the Huns or Hearts being there. 71 points that would have been nowhere near promotion during Stubbs 2 years. They were knocked out the 2nd round of the league cup and got to the semis of the Scottish Cup.

He inherited a team built around players that Stubbs had brought in. Did he really “Turn them around”? I think he took over at the perfect time. 4th place in their 1st season back was excellent, but that didn’t justify him getting the Celtic job again.

I wouldn’t have wanter Toney to replace Eddy tbh. I haven’t seen him in all fairness, but I’d be wary about replacing Eddy with a League 1 striker who’s older than him.

    Raid the France U21 side.

You could argue that we lost because Moi was called offside but Lenny didn't pick a striker or go with our strongest formation. His call, his fault.
